Wasn't Warren recruited pretty hard by OU until they got Perine? If that's the case, I wonder if he'll be running with a little extra motivation this weekend.
It was the Joe Mixon commit that opened the door from someone outside the state to bring him in. Mixon was the best recruit OU had in years, and they essentially shut down RB recruiting after it. Ayeni coming onto the staff, plus the chance to play Big 12 teams and get back to his home state, plus the fact he bloomed late in the sport, was the perfect storm for ISU.

Just think about how good he would be if he was moving towards the LOS while taking the handoff and not standing still? Are we ever going to change that.

Troy Davis' first 2000 yd season, he got to 1000 vs OU in game five. Another young isu back will crack 1000 vs OU this Sat.

Just to add a ? Do you think Warren could get 1st team all big 12? The only RB with slightly better stars is Linwood from Baylor. If MW finishes tops in the conference is there any reason he wouldn't be 1st team?

Here is how he compares to other backs in the conference statistically
1Shock Linwood, RBBAY1219748.1799
2Mike Warren, RBISU1539546.2624
3DeAndre Washington, RBTTU1479326.3519
4Wendell Smallwood, RBWVU1217916.5525
5Samaje Perine, RBOKLA1277115.6489
6Aaron Green, RBTCU1256995.6868
7Trevone Boykin, QBTCU885246.0696
8Jerrod Heard, QBTEX1115024.5453
9Joe Mixon, RBOKLA704316.2454
