It was the Joe Mixon commit that opened the door from someone outside the state to bring him in. Mixon was the best recruit OU had in years, and they essentially shut down RB recruiting after it. Ayeni coming onto the staff, plus the chance to play Big 12 teams and get back to his home state, plus the fact he bloomed late in the sport, was the perfect storm for ISU.Wasn't Warren recruited pretty hard by OU until they got Perine? If that's the case, I wonder if he'll be running with a little extra motivation this weekend.
Just think about how good he would be if he was moving towards the LOS while taking the handoff and not standing still? Are we ever going to change that.
