I'm by no means saying that The Warriors was good, nor that everyone should have seen it.
But when the guy is arguing that Shaq came up with "Can you dig it?" on his own, and is responsible for it being part of the lexicon, he should be forced to watch it.

My dad made me watch The Warriors, it was a right of passage.

I can't believe anyone hasn't mentioned Army of Darkness yet?

They did in the other thread and Evil Dead II is better anyway.

Don't forget Dirty Harry, Bullit, Once Upon a Time in the West or the Guns of Navarrone...

To be fair; the episode of SBTB where Jessie Spano is on speed is one of the funniest half-hours in TV history; "I'm so excited"!

Gotta say, I would have never seen Warriors if one of my buddies didn't force us to watch it in college. And honestly, I didn't think it was that good. Now Office Space is a great movie. And I loved Beastmaster as a kid. I have only seen spots of Big Lebowski...just was never that interested in that movie.

Other movies I love that I'd consider "Cult Classics":
Ice Pirates
Big Trouble in Little China
Lost Boys
Blade Runner
Clash of the Titans
Slap Shot
A Clockwork Orange
Resevoir Dogs

I honestly have to admit that I have never saw this movie. Just now Googled it and will order it. Can't wait to watch it.

Buckaroo Bonzai was a regular part of the HBO late-night rotation from 1982 -1986 and must be mentioned in any cult classics thread.

As for the Warriors, I've got it on DVD and watch it about once / year. The Orphans, Coney Island, Baseball Furies - it's a fine movie!

When a man card must be revoked:

_If you aren't aware Scorsese directed a movie prior to Gangs of New York.

_If you've never seen Apocalypse Now.

_If you've never seen The Godfather trilogy. (No excuse for this since it runs on basic cable constantly)

_If you've never seen The French Connection.

I would suspend said man card for having not seen The Big Lebowski, Office Space, and The Warriors. Upon viewing and being able to quote at least five passages from each, man card reinstatement would occur.

Card intact.

My wife (26) has never seen Animal House. I can't convince her to watch it either.

Dude, that's just wrong. IMO the funniest movie of all time and I don't even know if it's close. MAYBE something like Stripes or Blues Brothers could touch it...I don't know many others that could though.

As for the worst "Movie so bad it's actually funny/good" - hands down Troll 2. Also, anyone else seen Black Belt Jones? I loved it in college, so bad it was hilarious.

Honestly I don't really like anything by Scorsese prior to Gangs. GoodFellas was okay but there are way better mob movies out there.

I thought the French Connection was boring. Agree on the rest.
