Sloppy defensive battle so far. 9-4 ISU at 11:33. UT shooting 2 after the break. Reed picked up 3 quick fouls for UT.

Pop and Prins each have two fouls, but Texas is in much worse shape. They have two players with 3 fouls each and one with 2.

We are not looking like smart players. Bad position, poor guarding, standing around. Pop and Prins are the whole team tonight.

23-22 ISU at half. Could have been a lot better. Could have been a lot worse.

Guess we are just going to make this a 20 minute game rather than a 40 minute game. With our lack of depth we were just playing to hang on till half against a team with NO depth.

ISU players just cannot afford to get in foul trouble this year. They have to play smarter.

7-player rotation - 2 players with 2 fouls each = 5-player "rotation" until halftime. I think Kidd and Ellis are valuable, but I'd rather they not have to play a combined 23 minutes in the first half.

I sure miss the days when when we actually had good shooters on our team. I don't see how they can miss that many, a lot of them uncontested on their home court. Maybe it will get better when Poppens and Prins come back in.
