We are talented Audi and Addy are a great duo. Emily is likely our best PG ever.
My personal disappointment comes down to this:
- I bought into the preseason hype and #8 ranking.
- The UNI loss.
- SCAR loss was so lopsided that it was embarrassing and showed that we were not even close to turning into a contender.
Emily, Addy, and Audi all have to play at a level equal to UConn. They are the best players on our team and they need to play at a very, very elite level. CMC used to say you can’t expect your C players to play at a A level. Your A players need to play at a A level. That applies here too. The role players need to do their jobs and knock down threes when open, play defense, and not make mistakes. Bill and his staff need to coach at a hall of fame level to put this team in situations where they can succeed. You know UConn will be well coached. Our preseason ranking was clearly too high, but our level of play has clearly not been good enough. Time to show we want to be better than what we have shown. This is going to be tough, but let’s see some fight.
I think that this applies to AJ as well. She may not be an A player but she has been in the program long enough and can be an elite defender and a quality offensive player. She may not be the A player like the other vowels (E, A, & A) but she could certainly be an A- player rather than a C player.
Not sure how this will go. Emily is definitely trying to work back into things, if she’s on I think we keep it close.

Why would you "take" a 10-14 point loss at this point in the season? Would the kids be thrilled to hear their fans are hoping we can play UCONN to within 15 points and leave with a moral victory? We're supposed to be a championship contending team and my expectation is we start to play like one, beginning tonight.
Tonight's game is 80-59 UConn according to Vegas. I hope we can score more than that and can at a minimum be closer to 9-10 point (probably a loss). Something like 84-75. Would love an upset but being in the state of Connecticut sure won't help.
