What's even more shocking was the circumstances surrounding this win. Brackins and Dendy fouled out, Ham and Scottie were in foul trouble for a good chunk of the second half ( I was worried we'd keep the lead but lose by forfeit:no

I'd have to check but I think the stat is only the 8th victory over a RANKED team on the Road ever. Not just top 10. Can anyone confirm?
Wasn't the stat ranked teams on the road? Something like 7-105 before this one, all time?
By my count, that's our 4th ever road win against a top 5 team on the road during the modern era (since 1980).

Yeah, I was there! It felt like there were about 30 ISU fans in the whole building but it was awesome! And props to the 2 ISU fans in the KSU student section who fought off people messing with their camera to get shots of themselves with the scoreboard in the background.
What is shocking to me is that Iowa State wasn't the team that is ranked number 5.:jiggy:
Now we will have another chance to beat a ranked team.... and hopefully a few more after that. It will be tough and we will have to have the ball bounce our way and have our guys hot from 3 (like today) and their guys cold from 3 (like today.) Having said that the confidence of knowing that they can win will do amazing things like make layups go in etc. A victory over Texas will give this team some major mojo. Watch out Big 12 baby!
