I hated this game. I think we let Kstate play their game and did nothing to force the issue. If we had a spy on Klein he did a **** poor job. I would rather have lost 40-0 and sold out to stop the run than letting then run around up and down the field.

I'm ready to face facts, and the fact is Collin Klein was a man among boys today. KSU should be thanking their lucky stars that they have him, because in my opinion, we would have rolled that team today if they had any other quarterback. Every 3rd and 9 conversion was because he was able scramble effectively.

Edit: and now that Geno is ******* away his Heisman, I don't see how CK can't be the front runner for it.

So, you would have rather given up 40 to them instead of holding them low enough to where if we can complete a couple of passes late in the 4th, we win?

Dumb. Cyclones are good enough to have a chance against a top 5 team. Giving your team a chance against top teams is great coaching. Notice you didn't see any trickery, it's because the Cyclones are good enough to win straight up. Believe it. Stop whining and support this team which I believe is the best since sage and co.

How can you complete a pass when you can't run the football with any degree of success?

You can't without exceptional players. Barnett can be good, but will likely never be the all everything QB we would like. This team needs to run with some sliver of authority. Barnett needs to limit bad throws, but his receivers need to make plays, and also get YAC. Spreads rely on getting yards after the catch, and none of our wide outs do this. West has been the most disappointing player I have seen in a while. All that speed, and he gets nothing after a grab if he happens to accidently catch the ball.

I don't know what game you were watching where K State was running up and down the field. K State is hard to stop with Klein, defense did plenty to win this game. Wasn't perfect, but they did their job.

The think that pisses me off about Hubert and ESPECIALLY Klein is they are so patient. You have it well guarded and think you're are going to stop him, then he hesitates and blows right by you. He is VERY good.

You have to respect the way Klein leads KSU. It's not pretty but it is efficient.

K State is hard to stop. ISU played well enough to have chances to win. QB needs to not force throws, like the one after the fumble, that was intercepted. If the play is not there, through it out of the endzone or out of bounds. Do not throw that pick. Also, defense played well. It is hard to play defense for 40 minutes. The offense needs to find a way to get first downs. Where was the wide receiver end around when the middle was stuffed? Getting play makers the ball is key. But the defense also has a part in being better at getting off the field. They would not be getting so tired if they had forced more 3 and outs, even if our offense also did a 3 and out.

Watching Klein today, it occured to me that I'm not sure that I've EVER seen a runner pause for so long on every run to wait for the holes to develop. Klein is awesome, but KSU's blocking schemes should not be overlooked. That whole offense does an incredible job in developing those plays. But there is no doubt that Klein makes a ton of that happen himself!

How can you complete a pass when you can't run the football with any degree of success?

In this day and age of football you cannot run the football unless the defense respects your passing game. It is clear so far that the better defenses in our conference do not hold our passing game in high esteem. They have sold out in stopping the run and we have not forced them out of that mentality with our passing game.
