I am familiar with 3 cyclone websites that give us news about recruits and general cyclone news.

Scout, Rivals, and Fanatic.

Fanatic- has really become my #1 source, its free and seems to be more updated than the others.

Scout- I used to subscribe to Scout and their stories started to fade and there just wasn't much info anymore so I discontinued my subscription.

Rivals- 15 years ago used to be a pretty good website for up to the minute news, It seems they have fallen to dead last in my opinion. Paul Clark is slacking. We just got a verbal from Noskowiak and he still hasn't put anything up about it.

Does anyone subscribe to scout or rivals and do you guys think the same about them?

Winner because of the easiest and most obvious reason.

I used to be on Scout, but once Trey Scott left I just let my year subscription run out with out renewing.

Trey Scott was all over ISU coverage. Who replaced him?

Alex Halstead replaced Trey and is doing a good job of staying on top of things. There are other Scout analysts that drop by and leave tips about people visiting, new offers, etc. It's my other go-to site for ISU related info.

The grumpy old man over at Rivals, AKA Paul...it's almost like he doesn't care anymore.

I quit Rivals in 06 and joined fanatics. Rivals and Paul were good, but the posts became too argumentative. Not much civil discussion. This site, at times, is becoming like that. But this is still the best Cyclone site.

The evolution of Cyclone Fanatic is pretty cool moving from a bit of an upstart college group to a full diverse community. Rivals just disintegrated into a handful of grumpy old "insiders" and "experts" that wanted every other poster to kiss their *** upon reading their posts like they were Moses carrying the tablets down off the mountain.

CF is thee Cyclone community site and it is not even close and it's to the point I don't even think the other sites are relevant. They only exist at all because they are part of networks that have to have a site for teams like a Power 5 school like ISU.

Here on CF you don't have to be a hardcore football or MBB fan to find something interesting. Here we have a crazy active off-topic forum and separate forums for the so called "minor" sports like WBB, volleyball and rassling. For me, I like WBB and volleyball but don't have a single friend who is a fan but I can come here and "talk" with "friends" that do like these sports.

Wanta play hoops or game, here's your site.

Wanta read some up to date reporting, here's your site.

Wanta talk about the pro games yesterday, here's your site.

Okay, admittedly there is the addiction aspect of CF.
