Jon, I'd actually like to hear what Pollard might have to say about the recent defections and how he plans to still "sell hope" in the basketball program. Over 10k season tickets last season with a lot of steam building for the next season. And now this. I gotta believe that we don't sell 10k tix again. Pollard is a financial guy. If the sales are decreasing, what will he do to increase them?
I can't wait to see the meltdown after the presser full of nothing. Anyone that thinks they will walk away knowing anything more about the situation is severely smoking something.

And yet, if Jon was being critical of Greg - he'd be a Hawk shill and there'd be more posts ripping on him than about the actual issue.

Will we be able to watch/listen to McDermott's 4:000 Press Conference on-line for free anywhere?
I think the only chance we have to gain any actual information about the situation is if he takes a bunch of questions from the media. I'm sure his statement will be all fluff/things we already know.
And his responses to those questions will be like Licklighters when asked about Freeman. "I'd prefer to keep those private conversatons just that...private".
You're probably right.
When I said I'd like to see some fire, I'd like to hear something like "Damn right I'm fired up, I'm going to do everything in my power to coach the guys who actually want to be here so that we win games and prove that Wesley made a bad choice about leaving this place." While it doesn't provide any information, I just want to see something like this from Mac since we rarely do. Maybe that will help bridge the gap.

In fact, I don't think I've seen a release for this presser at all. Just info here and a line or two in articles that a presser will take place today. Odd...
Towards the bottom of this story there is a reference that McDermott indicated Wesley was persuaded to leave, perhaps by a former AAU coach or agent:
