Nice to be getting some recognition...I'm kinda glad we aren't ranked quite yet though

We are down about 10 points in the AP poll from last week.
EDIT: I am completely wrong.

Wow. Only ONE Big 12 team (Kansas) did not get votes for the Top 25. The Big 12 is one ridiculously tough league from top to bottom.

I can't get over Wisconsin at 23 in the Coaches'.

If I get time later this afternoon, I'm going to do some analysis of the difference between a team's ranking in the coaches' and AP polls...there's got to be some interesting commonalities among such teams.

It will be a combo of us being 4-0 and who from the top 25 loses. If Baylor loses, we move up, if Baylor wins and WV loses, we probably do not move up as WV will not drop out of the top 25. Unfortunately, if most of the teams ahead of us win, we will not move up very far.

Actually, Top to bottom, still pretty tough. Kansas would probably win more than a couple in the B1G, Big East, and ACC, and isn't as bad as they've been. I don't think they are much different from Vandy either. Not top 30 material like the rest of the league, but propably getting close to top half of FBS, Still comparing bottoms to bottoms, the Big XII is way above any other league in the country. The only question marks are the elite teams vs. the SEC. I'd put the top 4 against any other top four easily though. SEC is top heavy and no other conference comes remotely close.

Every conference game will be a dogfight. I'm just glad we've been building up our dog the last three years.

FWIW Realtime RPI has us at #25: RealTimeRPI.com College Football Power Ratings, Analysis, and Predictions - A leading sports ratings and resources community on the Internet

SOS is still #26 in the nation so far with Iowa being a dumpster fire.

Maybe it is time for ISU to start thinking about cancelling the game with Iowa every year. If we win it doesn't help us because we should win and if we lose it is a horrible loss. It is a lose - lose situation for the Cyclones every year.
