My thoughts are I like WVU, riot bros and what not. Rocco nor Anthony are going there. Neal Brown is a lot of ism's, all negative.

I'm really curious what happens to Jimbo's buyout if he takes a job

At one time it worked this way- what A&M owes him would be reduced by what WVU agrees to pay him. So if Jimbo is smart he takes less from WVU, tells WVU to spread the money out to high-paid stud assistant coaches and skrews A&M at the same time. Win, Win.

This.

Rocco is 100% the unquestioned starter, and deservedly so.

But if we're being objective, his value has mostly been as a gamer and a leader, a nicer way of saying a game manager.

Those traits are essential to being a successful quarterback, no doubt. But the physical or statistical component is very important too, and he hasn't exactly blown anyone away in that regard much of the time.

I'm very excited to see what Moberly and the Algona kid coming in can do when the time comes. But the ball is in Rocco's court when that happens as long as he's here. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it either way.

Rocco a game manager is a dumb take.

Not sure if it is true, but I have read where WVU's roster is the highest paid in NIL money. If that's true, it doesnt look it. That would be a dagger to NB as well. Although I also heard Indiana has a very expensive NIL hoops roster--and they went 0-3 in the battle for atlantis. Sometimes you dont get what you pay for.

If RROD isnt the choice, it is stupid. He played for a pac 12 title at Arizonza, beating Oregon twice. He also put up 50 plus on gundy and oklahoma state when they were good. He did well at jacksonville state this year, and his teams are always physical and play with an edge. That's really all you can ask for.

Sure, his rosters sometimes have more than its share of convicts, and not many Christian athlete types, but his teams hit and hit hard.

Everybody within the program would be pumped if Anthony got the WV job. I said this in the yearly dumb*** Campbell to "x" thread. You all have inferiority complex issues. Rocco is not leaving regardless of his dad coaching WVU.

You think if Rocco turned down huge $ to go to big name SEC schools he's going to leave to go play for his dad at WVU? We have to get past this crap and realize we are effing here. Like this is it we are finally here after all these years of mediocrity. Embrace it, if people leave it's for $ we can't do anything about it. If you want to win and improve your draft stock we are the place to do it. Rocco ain't going anywhere regardless of Anthony and this thread is f'ing stupid.
How many sources Mr. Confident?

I'm certainly hoping Rocco stays at ISU, and there's no reason to believe he won't, but I have to admit I got excited watching Connor Moberly in the spring game. You never know, he could be the real deal.

If not already pointed out, I’d be fine rolling the dice with Moberly next year based on what I’ve seen.
Agree, if Rocco left for WV I think we'd be fine. He's good, but he's not Brock Purdy carry the program for 4 years good. If Purdy left those years we had nothing behind him. I think Moberly is good enough that we'd be fine.

I'd much rather Rocco stays for 2 more years though.

Lol. Not even close.

Anthony wants to be a college coach, just listen to him talk about it in the CW podcast.

An I worried? Nope. If Rocco stays, great. If he leaves, next man up. Next year is probably going to be rough regardless, may as well get the new guy some experience.

My bad. I googled Anthony Becht St Louis salary and didn’t notice his salary with the Rams popped up rather than his current salary. It’s been awhile since the Rams moved and I completely forgot about them playing in St Louis.
