I honestly don't think we're playing THAT much better. We got lucky to beat the worst team in the conference at home in this stretch.Agree here, but our confidence was all but gone. We had to do something to get that fire back.
Context should be provided that even though WVU is the “worst team in the conference” they’re a quality team. They are not Nebraska, Maryland, Utah, Oregon State, Georgia Tech, NCST, Pitt, Georgetown, etc.I honestly don't think we're playing THAT much better. We got lucky to beat the worst team in the conference at home in this stretch.
1. We aren’t playing well, why isn’t TJ making adjustments?
2. TJ makes adjustments, win 4 in a row
3. Why did TJ make these adjustments?
Sure we hit an easier stretch of opponents. But look back over the entire Big12 season.I honestly don't think we're playing THAT much better. We got lucky to beat the worst team in the conference at home in this stretch.
And except for a missed goaltending call, we likely beat Kansas on the road as well. Some of our win margins were razor thin…but they were wins just like our razor thin losses were still losses.4 teams we’d already lost to. And we’ve already beaten TTU and Texas. So the only teams we haven’t beat are KU and BU, two top 10 teams (still play BU once more). I’m not complaining
I think they are actually playing better. Yes, playing worse teams helps, but it is hard not to see that ISU went off the wheels for a bit there. They were not losing games for a while there, they were getting blown off the court by teams like TCU and WVU.I honestly don't think we're playing THAT much better. We got lucky to beat the worst team in the conference at home in this stretch.
"Coincidence, the universe is rarely so lazy."All 4 teams we beat were teams that beat us the first time we played. 3 of those teams whooped our asses the first time. Can't be a coincidence.
I've kind of thought the same thing. The TCU, WVU, and Kst game yesterday, easily could have been flipped.I honestly don't think we're playing THAT much better. We got lucky to beat the worst team in the conference at home in this stretch.
Not at ToE.More than 5 guys on the team = someone has to sit.

But I will say, the team is playing far better during in-game stretches. They got smoked by TCU and Ku at home, and Texas and WVU on the road. But came back from a big deficit against WVU, and came back from a deficit, and lead big yesterday.
68-45 run in a 32 minutes stretch yesterday.
Everyone who started, and thus our 13-2 opening deficit, was battling a negative +/- the rest of the game.Obviously them on the bench more AND the addition of minutes for Kunc and Walker has been huge for our team. BUT Kunc had a +/- of like -18 yesterday, which translates to we were getting **** stomped when he was on the floor. That was weird to see.
