What’s going on with Jackson and Enurana

I honestly don't think we're playing THAT much better. We got lucky to beat the worst team in the conference at home in this stretch.
Context should be provided that even though WVU is the “worst team in the conference” they’re a quality team. They are not Nebraska, Maryland, Utah, Oregon State, Georgia Tech, NCST, Pitt, Georgetown, etc.

We’re slightly better than WVU, KSU and OU but those three are probably NIT teams. So that makes us an NCAA tournament team. This conference is a gauntlet. WVU has lost numerous games they shouldn’t have (including against us) and that’s the difference in making the tournament and not.

1. We aren’t playing well, why isn’t TJ making adjustments?
2. TJ makes adjustments, win 4 in a row
3. Why did TJ make these adjustments?

Don't forget the 'our players are tired' crowd.

Bottom line, TJ is playing the guys he and the staff thinks gives us the best chance to win.

I'm glad to see Jaz starting and Walker now getting some minutes to show what he can do.

Sure we hit an easier stretch of opponents. But look back over the entire Big12 season.

KU 0-2
BU 0-1
OSU 1-0
Every other Big12 team 1-1.

So it's not like we are just beating the worst team(s) or only winning in Hilton. 3 road Big12 wins is solid!

IMO we are a team that has overachieved. We have a razor thin margin off error.

4 teams we’d already lost to. And we’ve already beaten TTU and Texas. So the only teams we haven’t beat are KU and BU, two top 10 teams (still play BU once more). I’m not complaining
And except for a missed goaltending call, we likely beat Kansas on the road as well. Some of our win margins were razor thin…but they were wins just like our razor thin losses were still losses.

I think they are actually playing better. Yes, playing worse teams helps, but it is hard not to see that ISU went off the wheels for a bit there. They were not losing games for a while there, they were getting blown off the court by teams like TCU and WVU.

The Big 12 is full of good coaches, and they quickly figured out how to stop the ISU offense and find holes in the ISU defense. Credit TJ for figuring out a way to right the ship and win some games. This is not a great team, but they are not bad either. Both of the last two games, and even the loss to KSU the first time were hampered by ISU live ball turnovers. The end of yesterday's game was so painful to watch after coming back and getting a big lead.

In general I would say the defense is not as good as it was, but the offense and shooting has been better the last few games.

I think our game is a little more balanced or complimentary now. Not just defense or just 'score on a turnover' offense. While still good, I'm also thinking we aren't quite as aggressive on defense at times because certain games refs have called early fouls.

I've kind of thought the same thing. The TCU, WVU, and Kst game yesterday, easily could have been flipped.
But I will say, the team is playing far better during in-game stretches. They got smoked by TCU and Ku at home, and Texas and WVU on the road. But came back from a big deficit against WVU, and came back from a deficit, and lead big yesterday.

68-45 run in a 32 minutes stretch yesterday.

Forget about Enaruna and Jackson, need to see what Carter Boothe can do with some minutes!

I'm joking obviously... It's bit like Tristan and Tre were tearing it up during our losing streak. We've played a lot better with Kunc in the starting lineup and Walker in limited minutes. Both Tre and Tristan probably know what they need to work on if they want to earn some minutes as I'm sure TJ has his reasons why he's not playing them in the same roles now.

We got one whistle early, Bruce got all red faced, then the next 6 went for them. They built a lead. The last five minutes, the whistles went their way again and they made another "run". Not all of them were bad calls but there were just a lot of them. We smoked them in the middle part of the game you're talking about, it's crazy how many FT's they got in the other 8 minutes. That's the only reason they hung around.

Obviously them on the bench more AND the addition of minutes for Kunc and Walker has been huge for our team. BUT Kunc had a +/- of like -18 yesterday, which translates to we were getting **** stomped when he was on the floor. That was weird to see.
Everyone who started, and thus our 13-2 opening deficit, was battling a negative +/- the rest of the game.
