So from that article they now think she went missing on a Thursday on her way to work? Or from the house she was watching? It said she worked in Grinnell, where is her car?
There is so much misinformation out there, so it is hard to know what is true. What I saw about this is that she shares a car with her brother. He dropped her off that afternoon. He texted her that morning to see if she needed a ride to work, and she did not respond.

Article I read sounded like she was in jogging clothes, not work clothes. Unless there's a gym in Brooklyn..... I don't think it's typical just to go to work in a sports bra and shorts.

One of the articles posted said her work shirt was missing. But not sure what’s true and what isn’t.

It's sad that once I heard it was Brooklyn my first thought was being right by I-80 and likely abducted.

Also worth it to note that there is still an autistic boy missing from Laport City from the early spring. No sign of him since he walked off from his house.

Why? Honestly asking, is there a statistic that backs this or just a hunch?

Unfortunately yes. It’s a little over half of incidents where the victim is a woman include their current or former significant other.

Obviously I have no insight into this case but the stats back up at least looking into that option.

I hope this is all just some crazy scenario that she is still safe somewhere. As a father of two young girls this is my nightmare and her family is now living it. Hope this somehow ends well for the family.

My thoughts are with her and her family.

Sounds like there was a Snapchat late that evening (so after her run....unless she went for another AM run) and the outfit she would have worn to work is not found.

What's intriguing to me (for all newer cases like this) is the data footprint. The one article mentions supeonas to social media providers/Google....also mentions her Fitbit. Obviously that takes time (and in missing people cases that isn't good...more time)...but you just think of all the info we have out there and how three could be clues (say a creep sent a weird fb message, liked a bunch of photos, etc). I know I'm weirded out when my phone tells me where I went in a day, Google may have those types of data points)

What a sad story. Makes you wonder if someone in that area knew she was dog sitting at her Boyfriend’s brother place all alone.

Editing this post as I misread. the quote first time. Yes I 'd tend to agree that it was probably someone who knew the situation.

She's 19 YO. I'd say she could stay at a house alone for a few days.

Huh?

I think the other poster was saying maybe the potential kidnapper/abductor knew she was all alone house sitting for someone and took advantage of that.

What are you talking about? Of course she can stay by herself. I’m saying that if some crazy towns person or deranged acquaintance knew that a young female is staying all alone at the house and took advantage of this information.

That'd probably be my near the end of the list of guesses for me personally
I didn't see it myself, but my daughter saw the TV interview with the boyfriend and said he seemed real creepy.

I try to be sympathetic to that because you never know what's going through someone's head. As someone who has had some emotional problems in the past, I have a lot of trouble showing "appropriate" emotions. I couldn't cry at my own father's funeral. I've always joked with my family if anything ever happens to mom I'm toast because they'll be like "this guy has no emotions, he's a cold-blooded killer."

If you made me guess Im going to say boyfriend. Hopefully she turns up healthy.
The boyfriend was out of town and has witnesses and phone records to prove it.
That doesn’t necessarily rule him 100% innocent, but probably 99% especially if his phone records were checked for suspicious activity.

Brooklyn is right off of 80 which is probably a big trafficking corridor.

That was my immediate thought, too. My sister used to live near Tiffin and jog outside of town but she stopped after a couple of experiences where she felt like she was being watched or followed.

It's the kind of story that leave you feeling just sick. What a nightmare scenario for everyone involved.

Here's my thoughts and I am by know means an investigator.

She went out running that night, was spotted by someone. That someone followed and watched her go to her bf's apartment. The person watching noticed she took the dog out to go bathroom late before she went to bed (as most people do). In the morning she got ready for work, took the dog out to go bathroom before work and she was either snatched then or the person followed her into the apartment and took her. My previous sentence would depend on where the dog was.
