Very sad. I have a daughter. I can't imagine what the parents are going through. Hopefully it turns out that she just needed to get away.

I know what you mean, with my daughter living in Phoenix and now in LA I go to really bad thoughts when we can't get a hold of her or if she is replying to texts in a weird way.

Brooklyn being right off of I80 isn’t a coincidence in my opinion. Think of other abductions... it’s damn near folk lore at this point, but Johnny Gosch was taken just south of 235 which is easy access to I80, and a straight shot to either coast. (It was rumored he was taken West) They aren’t sure of the exact time she ended up missing, which really sucks, because in the 8 hour ish window a lot of ground can be covered. If this was an abuction, I would assume she was taken west, because i80/i35 is a hotbed for this sort of thing. This sort of thing makes me scared to have children of my own. I hope she is found alive, or that the family finds closure.

And where is her car? I've seen one tweet that just says that she doesn't have her car, but where was the car found? I feel like that detail may be intentionally left out as police investigate.

I understand putting out flyers and trying to rally as a town and county but the chances of those helping are very slim.

I thought one article I read said she shared a car with her brother, and when her brother called her the next morning to pick her up and take her to work, that’s what triggered the alarm.

I'm sort of a "Forensic Files" junkie. I can almost guarantee you there are some details they are withholding from the public. They do that sort of thing all the time. They then usually try to interview people who divulge details not known to the public.

I agree, but they are also trying to get this story to go viral nationally, and that helps tremendously.

It things like this that make me in favor of putting GPS trackers in humans...

Until the kidnappers start cutting out the GPS trackers and put the authorities on a ghost hunt after a sewer rat.

Story Co.
Read this thread and multiple articles last night before bed and didn't sleep well. Had to keep checking windows and doors, any noise had me ready to meet somebody at the door with the baseball bat and I checked on my girls multiple times even though I knew they were sleeping peacefully. I feel so terrible for her friends and family. My anxiety filled night is a drop in the ocean compared to the nightmare they're living right now. Whatever happened I hope they figure it out so they don't have to live it for the rest of their lives. I know it's not likely this has a happy ending but I'm staying hopeful.

Solid point, and Ill admit, I haven't really put much thought into this. Just wish there was some easy way to digitally track the whereabouts of people that could help dramatically decrease human trafficking.

We might be getting close with the number of security cameras out there these days.

I'm confused by this post. "Slim" is all the family has right now.

Sure, but it's better than doing nothing. Sometimes when a tragedy hits a small town or community everybody just wants to do something to pitch in, however insignificant. I guess in the grand scheme of things it isn't much better than the good old "thoughts and prayers" tweets but if it's helping to rally the community or bring people together then it's worth it.
