I drive a 2012 Civic (about 43k on it) and my wife drives a 2008 Grand Caravan (about 83k on it). Bought the van new in 2009 and just paid it off. Neither car has given us any major problems.

I saw this story today about a guy that bought a pickup for $75 in 1976 and has driven it an estimated 300,000 over 38 years, and claims to have only put $1000 into it. http://www.a****log.com/2015/01/05/man-spent-75-truck-lasted-38-years-video/

Love these threads.

I drive a 2001 Dodge Dakota SLT 4.7 V8 with about 120k on it. Drive it 12 miles round trip each day until we decide we need a new one.

Wife drives a 2012 Nissan Sentra with about 33k on it.

Before the Dakota, I had some fun cars (HS with help of parents) - 1997 Land Rover Discovery XD from my Dad, 1972 MGB, 1972 Land Rover Series III- a beast of a car:

Now for the fun stuff (Dad's collection):

1975 Ducati 750 Sport (rides about once a year)

2003 Mini Cooper S - Daily Driver
1962 Mini Cooper S - Was my graduation present that happens to be in his garage...
2012 Mini Cooper Countryman S - Mom's daily

Recently sold both the Land Rovers listed above

1964 Jaguar Mark 2 - seems like he only gets wedding request for it anymore
1955(?) Austin Healey 100s - restoring
1933 Morgan SS (3-wheeler) - restoring, was his fathers. His is yellow with black interior and spokes:

and his pride and joy. Finished Restoring in 2010 is a 1962 Jaguar E-Type or XKE. Rarely drives it. Complete restore, I think in total he spent about 60-70k on it over 10 years. He took it to a car show recently and some guy offered him 250k on the spot which he turned down. No need for the money and I think he wants me to have it some day (!!!!).

Just traded in my 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo SS for a 2015 Chevy Traverse LT right before thanksgiving. Was a sad day, loved that car as I factory ordered it to my liking brand new on the last production run Chevy made of them but once you have a child priorities change and a 2 door sports car isn't quite as practical when you have to get a car seat in and out of it plus lug around some extra stuff whenever you take the kid with you.
