Agreed, this was the most disappointing season in school history as far as I'm concerned. Inexcusable to be 5-3 right now with the talent and experience we had back.

Lol. I remember when I had my first beer. Some of you after a loss are pretty looney.

Things are never as bad as they seem or as good as they seem. Keep your head up. Those guys are playing their butts off out there and I am proud of their effort.

I like this except isn't this what CPR would say around 2013 when it was clear things were pretty bad? Haha.

Now that the Clones dropped their 3rd game of the season, what goals are still realistically attainable for this team?

Beat Iowa - Nope
Go Undefeated in Conf? Nope
New Year’s 6 or CFP game? Nope
Conf Championship? Nope
Win Bowl Game? Yes, but only mid tier bowl.

Serious letdown for a team returning this kind of talent.

Beat OU and Texas? That would make me feel a lot better. Maybe end the season in the top 20? Disappointing for sure though.

Does the rest of the season feel kind of pointless for anyone else? All the excitement I had has been sucked away

A 3rd win in a row over Texas sure would be pretty great.

Hall might also end up near the top of rushing leaders as he's found his groove recently.

Play hard and play with pride and purpose. I'm a season ticket holder since 1985 and was not sure that I would ever see us have teams that were consistently "in the game". We used to be happy with moral victories, it is nice to not know the outcome of our games prior to kick off. Todays result sucked, but we actually had a chance to win.

Coming out, going scorched earth on Texas next weekend and giving it to them dry would go a long way to salve the wounds from today.

Like others have said…the “special” aspect leading into this season has swirled down the toilet. Still playing for a bowl game with nothing guaranteed considering how Jekyll Hyde this team is. I’ve downgraded my thoughts to have us ending up 7-5 and landing in a minor bowl.

"That’s the beauty of a college football season, is it’s a season,” Campbell said. “It’s not defined by one game. It’s defined by who you are at the end of the season and there’s still a lot of definition left for this team and this program. Boy, I’m really excited. Like I told our kids, there’s no group I’d rather continue to fight with and continue to lead with than this group. So what an honor and we’ll be back.”

This guy is a class act, I just remember the type of football we played in the Fiesta Bowl, never seen better ISU football ever considering the stage. Gotta see where we end up, losing to WSU, getting crushed by ND, or putting a drumming in Oregon.

Were getting everyones superbowl effort this year more than I can remember, havent been able to win the line of scrimmage in the conference losses.

Going 10-3 or 9-4 would be very solid seasons. So we have 5 big games left!

I realize some fans expected much more, but we are a program that plays a lot of tight games. Win the close ones and the season looks awesome. Lose the close ones and fans ask "What the hell happened"

I realize that fans had high expectations but just be happy that they participate in games
