Then we'll focus on beating them in basketball. At that point neither team will care about their respective football teams.

I would hope by this time we're all mentally prepared for the worst, it's not like it just happened overnight.

I honestly think we will win something like 45 to 10.

If we do lose, I think the "fire Paul Rhoads at midfield" gang will be the majority on here.

We aren't good, but this is a historically bad KU team. Losing to them would be an unmitigated disaster, especially at home after a bye week to prepare. and I wouldn't be surprised if the "fire Rhoads midseason" mentality really started to heat up even among casual fans. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to it. KU is in total disarray right now. Not that we are anything amazing, but they are seriously a dumpster full of poop filled tires on fire.

There have been years before where everyone was blowing out KU and then ISU would win by rather unimpressive scores. 2010/2011 come to mind. I expect a damn 31-14 game. Perhaps with a late KU TD....but I wish ISU could just drop a whoopin' of 5 TDs on em.

KU at this point looks like a lock to go 0-12. It's practically hard to do that nowadays. I think duke did pull off 2 winless seasons this century though.

KU does have 5 Big 12 home games. Baylor, Tech, OU, WVU, and K-state. Tech looked iffy for us a month ago, but now the weakest team they might get at home is KSU.....and Snyder aint going to be beaten by a middle of the pack talent wise FCS-ish KU team. That Bison team that beat KSU would roll this KU team by 4 TDs.

I'm sure KU will find a way to give somebody a game into the 4th qtr. Some of their other recent horrible teams had a big lead on RG3/Baylor in the 4th, and were neck and neck with OU at the half.

I can be as fatalistic as even the most cynical ISU fans, but I prefer to wait until it occurs to gauge my response.

Seems like a game that Iowa State won't quite cover the spread, although looks "superior" enough that it could have/should have done so; underwhelming but never seriously threatened (after overcoming a 10-3 deficit).

Either that or we'll win 52-24.

We already hit bottom sometime last year; so this season we're seeing a dead-cat-bounce. Don't worry, be happy.
