Kentucky was very undisciplined. Mizzou scored several fast break baskets off of made shots. I think our defense will be ready for that and get back. If we keep it to a half court game, this one's winnable.
Mizzou is not some world beater team, but they are MUCH improved from the squad that came to Ames last season and got shellacked by our guys. They will be a tourney team IMO, probably top 4 or 5 SEC finish. But the SEC is not nearly the same beast in basketball as it is in football. They are good, but they are beatable. It will be tough to go down there and win.

They have a native Iowan on their roster too. Guy transferred from UNI this past offseason and has been playing well. Might have a little chip on his shoulder, as we did not recruit him either time around.

I'm glad he still alive and ok. That was a great time in the Big 8 days lots of good and colorful coaches. Coach speak was different back then. LOL
He was actually in Cedar Falls this fall for the Hall of Fame induction of one of his Iowa State Teacher's College teams of the 60s. He's, obviously, slowed down a bit but he looks great and that wit and humor is as strong as ever. College basketball was better with that old guard on the bench.
