How many of you 'dove' in and thought you'd give Jon ********'s "Cyclone Times" site a try because of the money back guarantee? I was dumb enough to try. My question is this, how many of you asked for and received your money back? I'm wondering if others had the same experience as I did. So I have made a poll (at least I think I have)

Poll question:

"I tried Cyclone Times because of the guarantee and..."

A. Asked for a refund and got it without any problems.
B. Asked for a refund and got it, but after a LOT of hassle and many e-mails. (some of which got a nasty response from JN)
C. Asked for a refund and didn't get it as promised so just let it drop.
D. Like the product and didn't ask for a refund.

What has led to the previous negativity about Jon? I was just reading some of the quotes on the "Forum's" on his page and they were less then glowing.

Never heard of Cyclone Times. Assume it was published by a certain someone on the Des Moines School Board?

This guy must have made alot of people upset. I would think in a position where you are elected by the people, you should send them nasty e-mails. I'm sure he makes sure those individuals aren't in his voting district prior to sending them.

Actually, I think he may be one of the better board members. (not message board)

If you go to the forums, people are pretty mad. I feel bad for anyone who gave that "man" money because he is just plain shady. How much is the lifetime membership worth now? I personnally know some of the writers that were on Cyclonenation before it went down and they have much less glowing opinions of the management than the customers...if that is even possible.:wideeyed:

I didn't have a problem with him until promises where made that where never kept. Also, my experience with him in trying to get the refund was not what I would have expected from someone who is trying to put forth a certain public image...and I told him that. I have come to find that he doesn't seem to believe anyone should ever question him.

I really am not surprised at all to hear that a less then stellar individual who is not well known for paying his personal bills would not be real eager to refund memberships to a Cyclone site wannabee. Never heard of the Cyclone times until this thread.

So after a total of four votes, it looks like we have a scientific poll going.

He drove ISU's scout.com site into the ground. Made promises that were never kept. Fooled a lot of people with that site. I'm surprised anyone fell for his new site.

In August 2006, Jon predicted Iowa State would win 10 games and the Big 12 Championship.

In August 2006, CycloneNation.com came to an end.

JN is a Hawkeye fan. SD is a Michigan fan. To them CN = $$$ and nothing else. Thus the failure.

All this talk about Cyclone Times got me curious, so I just visited its website. If you want a few good laughs, check out the forums. I feel bad for the fans who actually joined. Sounds like the guy who started the site literally took their money and ran. A lot of "he hasn't even been on this site since March" and "why won't he return my email?"

He had good content for about 2-3 weeks and then it stopped. (probably sounds familiar to some who visited his other site) If the 'members' list is accurate over 200 joined...
