Technically yes, it is. But, since awesome is the word that is being used to describe him, him being Craig Brackins, awesome is only one word. Half point to both of you.

No, because the words being counted should be the ones following the comma, so it's two.

If he would have said, "I'll explain him in one word, AWESOME!", then it would be one word. But "he's awesome" is two words (minus the contraction, because that's debatable).

Thank you for not making me type all that... and proving my point.

Last summer my son attended the day camp for kids at State Gym and Brackins was his coach for the week. At the end of the week, my son had a new hero. I had a chance to visit with him later that week at the Father/Son camp. Great young man! During one of the Christmas break games, my son went down at the end of the game and stood over the tunnel where the players leave the floor. Brackins was acknowledging all the kids, looked up, saw my son and, 6 months later mind you, shouted out his name. It gets better. After the KU game, Craig came out to do the post game interview. My son saw him sitting in the front row, went down to say Hi and Brackins had him sit down with him while he waited. You have no idea what an impression that leaves on a 12 year old.

Let's hope that Marcus Fizer had a little sit down with Mr. Barnes a few years back and left that kind of impression. As a back up plan Danger, any chance your kid will be a 5 star athlete? Seriously, though that is prety cool.

Wow, that is pretty cool. If I was that 12-year old, I probably would have wet myself.

He seems cool. I walked by him on campus the day after a game and said "Good game Craig" and reached out for a high five and he started laughing and then slapt me five and said "thanks." - True story

I also heard he saw an old lady get pushed by someone into the street once in front of a car and as it was about to hit her, he moved her out of the street and pushed the criminal in front of the car. I also heard he likes to save cats when they get stuck up in the trees and he fights crime in his spare time.

That's pretty nice! What a thrill for your son. I went down to the capital league one night last summer and there was a woman there that I think might have been mentally handicapped. It sounded like she was there probably a lot. Anyway, during one of the games both Clinton Mann and Jamie Vanderbeeken talked to her for a long time. Doing something like that always impresses me. It's stories like these that make a person feel really bad that they haven't had as much success as they've wanted. It would be easier to get on them if they were jerks.

I really think that everyone on the team, including Brackins, are a great bunch of individuals. I have heard numerous stories about them from all sorts of people claiming how wonderful they were. I only wish the best for the seniors and for the rest of the team as they continue to improve.

That's Courtney Linehan, the Tribune reporter.....I think she might get pretty offended if she saw that. You might want to remove your post.
