If Prohm is gone, I know he probably isn’t just due to money and the year being the way it is. Devries from Drake may be worth the look. Him being as young and as new as he is to Drake that would make him a cheaper hire. He would bring his 4* son with him. His 4 star son could recruit 5* teammate Omaha Beliew with him. Somehow keep Tyrese Hunter committed and keep Rasir here and we would have a reallllll good team. Front court of Beliew and Foster with Bolton, Devries, Hunter or Tre Jackson filling the guard spots.

Like I said in another thread. If we had a bunch of freshman getting killed that’s one thing. However, our freshman apparently are not even good enough to get playing time on a bad team. So really the future is not even promising. I thought it was a good hire when we got him and I have been a Prohm guy but he has to go. He can’t cut it

There's a history there of holding players back (although at times for valid reasons vs. expectations) that are clearly talented enough to play so maybe that's the case here too.

Its pretty impressive what DeVries is doing. I've seen some say they don't want to hire someone that hasn't made the tournament, but I don't think those saying that realize what the situation was when he took over - not to mention how tough of a job Drake is. I would fully be on board with DeVries if we move on from Prohm, plus he can bring his kid.

He’s just about to turn a corner! How could he have predicted or prepared to lose 3 players leaving early for the NBA or G league? :jimlad:

Todd Lickliter 96 game career record at Iowa
38-58 .396

Steve Prohms last 96 games at ISU
42-54 .437

He's not playing his son meaningful minutes yet (isn't his son like 5....lol....but same stature as little lick)

That's depressing, though....our NBA guys have created some smoke and mirrors for sure
