A competent offense, that is well-coached and organized, and can sustain drives and score points.

No more:
50% 3-and-outs
QB has more rush attempts than the RBs combined
zone-read is 40% of the called plays
trying to out-guess the defense every single play instead of out-execute
passes only thrown to stationary receivers
"ole!" blocking schemes

Sorry that is more than 1-2 things, but I wanted to help define "crap offense". That could be a whole thread, what is your least favorite Mess offense characteristic that makes you throw up in the back of your mouth.

Beat Oklahoma and/or K-State. Only teams who have truly been thorns in our side as of late. If there is a win vs one of them, Iowa State is most likely in a bowl game.

Putting the hurt on the hoks. Punishing the Sooners. Demolishing Texas. Embarassing K-State. And eking out a win against NDSU.

Looking like we are well coached. Looking like gameplanned for more than 45 minutes.

Having a postgame message board without the theme of "lets get a new QB" if he only has 1.2 seconds to get rid of the ball during the game, and a running game with 50 yards per game or .7 yards per play. They do go hand in hand.

Seriously, beat NDSU soundly to shut Bizzo nation (that's little n) up, beat K State or Iowa, upset Texas, and win 5 games. 6 wins and I am ecstatic to go Bowling, and hoping we stay healthier than normal! Two years in a row of multiple OL/DL injuries would really be a drag. But watching our basketball fans posting on the football site ***** and moan about our QB play when the whole system is jacked up was/is unbearable.

So yes, all comments are appreciated....just know what the hell you are talking about first. Got that off my chest! :unsure:

Well, if wins/losses is off the table, the only reason for football is wins/losses for me so I'm going to go with:

First priority: enjoying some Cyclone football with my 2 and 4 YO boys
Second priority....mmm...probably t!++ies and beer, I guess.
