1st, i don't see the pats rolling them up. the bronkeys match up very well with them actually. it's the steelers and ravens im worried about.

2nd, if any of the haters watched his interview after the game on the field with ESPNs field reporter, you would have to have some respect for him. he didn't mention God once, he talked about how proud he was of his team, his receivers, how they deserved to have better balls thrown to them, how they make him look better, etc.

he isn't taking ANY credit. he isn't beating a bible on TV. if the camera pans to him while he is kneeling, how is that his fault.

how many other players kneel in prayer after a TD and no one says one thing about it-but because Tebus does it he is a bible beater? i don't want to turn this into a religious debate-i'm not much for religion myself, but i love what this kid is doing.

orton was 1-4. the ONLY thing they did was change QB's. todays game was a fluke, but how do you explain the rest of his starts? the team plays harder because he is their QB.

THIS guy gets it.

/rant.

Not that its a big deal, but in the interview with Siragusa, the first person he thanked was his savior Jesus ******

Yep, it's just so hard to be a Christian in America. :spinny:

On topic - The Broncos just win, so keep it rolling Tebow. Regardless of how much can be attributed to him, Denver is winning and he is leading. Not a great QB, but why ask questions when you're 7-1?

FYI - my opinion of Tebow has absolutely nothing to do with his religion, just like my opinions of any other athlete.

Basically true, but it's getting to the point where you can say he shows elite QB skills...in the 4th quarter and overtime.

I don't hate Tebow, he's an average nfl qb, I hate the fact the media neglects to give the players surrounding him credit, like the stingy defense the Broncos has....I mean I was watching ESPN the other day, and Skip Bayless freaked out because Rick Reilly wrote that John Fox deserves a little credit for the broncos success....

I don't really hate him at all for anything off the field. Respect his leadership on the field and respect that he wins. I just hate the fact that people still think he is a good QB. He isn't.

I don't know if many think he's really that great of a QB, but people are acknowledging that he is good at doing what needs to be done to win. He is just doing so in a non traditional way. ESPN is really putting too much coverage on him though

The thing that makes me most nuts about all of it. Is if he were any thing, other than Christian, there'd be a major **** fit about how every one is making fun of him for expressing his religion. Imagine if he were Muslim and talking about it every Sunday. No one would say ****. For some reason, it's become acceptable to bash on Christianity, but if you say anything about any other religion, it's a hate crime?

Good for him he's doing well and thanking his God for allowing him to do so.

You think if Tebow won all these games and on national TV said "We made this comeback as a team without God because God does not exist." that there would be LESS outrage?

You live in a different reality than me.

Any athlete would have the exact same right to say that and the outrage would be hundreds or thousands of times more intense against him than somebody like Tebow whose religious beliefs match 78% of the nation's.

I like watching the guy, I like watching anybody proving the critics wrong. But give up the persecuted majority thing people, it's really pathetic.

He is criticized too much, but it's not because the nation has an axe to grind with Christianity. An outspoken atheist would get outrage on an entirely different level as would a Muslim. Everybody should be cool with him and people shouldn't make up this BS that Christians are some persecuted sliver of society just because they only make up 78% instead of 100.

ESPN is doing what is making them money. right now, Tebus is as big if not bigger story than the packers. of course it's not what he's doing that's winningn them games, but he's part of the success, and it is an incredible story, and that's why it's getting pub. look-if they were 5-8 right now, you wouldn't be hearing anything about him. but they are 8-5. 7-1 with him starting. it's compelling. they should be spending time on it.

As usual, the QB gets way too much credit when they win and way too much blame if they lose. It's a team game. I don't care what his religion or whatever the piety police here want to call it, he's doing what he's good at on the field and not making many mistakes. So good for him.

But if we're handing out credit, it should really go to their defense. If Denver gives up 1 more touchdown per game during this streak, Denver is 2-11 and this thread never happens.

No doubt the defense has stepped up, but a lot of that has been their belief that they can win. A lot of that is Tebow. He's skill has been more in leadership and motivation rather that pure QB skill. This is the same defense that was 1-4 under Orton. What got them to play better?

Tebow has gotten the best out of his team, that's what is so impressive about him, not his play at QB.

Bitter? You sound like a Hawk man, let it go.

So what if I am a bit bitter? Before Cutler and Forte both went down, the Bears were one of the hottest teams at the moment. Now playoffs are looking less likely. Do you really think the Broncos could have won off of 13 points had there been a healthy cutler and forte? A fool would think that.

Props to the Denver defense and their kicker. They got the job done. Tebow played average, his praise for this game is hardly worthy though.

Had Barber stayed in bounds, Denver would have had 15-25 seconds to move down field instead of a minute, huge factor in what could have been.

Giving a crap what Skip Bayless says is your problem.

Just noticed that myself. Never realized ****** needed to be filtered. Is Christian?

It was just recently added to the filter, because too many people were using it improperly in the in-game threads.

As was discussed in this thread last week, cutting turnovers and greatly increasing time of possession will always make your defense look better.

Funny all these Broncos fans coming out of the wood work. I hope the pats roll 'em. The broncos would have needed more then 13 points to beat the Bears with Cutler and Forte.

key word here...like someone said you sound like a hawkeye fan with those comments

I don't know what you're talking about, except for the Green Bay game their defense was pretty good when Orton was in there. They lost two 3 point games and one 5 point game.

Which is exactly my point. If the defense gives up just a few more points over the last 6 games, you couldn't tell the difference between Orton and Tebow.

So I doubt the QB has done a divine intervention on the defense, but you can believe whatever you'd like.
