I know I'm going to take some heat for this, but that quick QB draw out of the shotgun where stevie runs through and blocks for Meyer is a play I just love.

So, besides the obvious "Go deep to Blythe", what is a play you're looking forward to seeing on Saturday?

Play action to the TE for a TD on fourth and 1 on Nebraska's 15 or 20 yard line.

Ooooppss... I'm sorry you have to play to win to make that call.

I've posted this before, but I love the little option play where Meyer sells the option to the right and then fades back and looks deep. I'd also like to see some kind of misdirection with the whole offense moving one way while a burner like RJ Sumrall hooks back the other way. Get him in the open field one on one and see what happens.

we need to get the ball to our TE more then we do right now. From what I have seen, it has worked well when used this year!

More "explosive" plays... throwing the ball down the field.
I'll also take Parker putting on a hit on the Nebraska Quarterback...he's out of the game in the first quater !!

you're kidding, right? we are the WORST at running the screen and even WORSE at defending it.

i like the idea of utilizing the tight ends more--that is the one thing i'm jealous about with iowa's offense. they have always been so good and getting their TE touches.

I've been waiting all season for a reverse to RJ!! Have we ran a single reverse yet, I think there might have been 1... maybe!

props herbicide -

I'm gonna go with chuckd here. Last year we ran #41 Barkema straight down the seam a lot, and he would stop in a hole, turn and jump, and meyer would have the ball right there above his head for a good 15 or 20 yds.

I'd like to see the play where our D sacks Taylor. Oh, and put that on replay for the duration of the game...

EDIT: I miss Tim Dobbins/Matt Word....I wish we had someone to carry the neck brace torch.

Tight ends...tight ends...tight ends. The safeties of opposing defenses are so concerned with Blythe and now Davis...our tight ends have plenty of room in the secondary to work. Plus, keep hitting the tight ends...the safties need to help out...then go over the top with Blythe/Davis/Sumrall/Flynn.

That and those draw plays for Meyer. They work very well and it's a great way to keep the defense honest.

Oh...and hit the tight ends.

Any vertical pass thrown over 15 yards. By vertical I mean between the hashes, or at the very least not towards the sideline.

The ball handed to Kock not Hicks when it is short yardage...
