Whats the biggest problem with ISU MBB?

Obviously there are some personnel deficiencies on this team, just as there are with virtually all teams not ranked in the top 10.

We are missing a true PG, and we're a little thin (depth) and small (size) in the post. Not exactly earth shattering news.

We're still pretty good though. We can definitely beat just about anyone at home, and anything can happen in neutral site games.

We just have to take care of business and win 3 more. Then hope that our 3-point shooting gets hot in the NCAA. That pretty much sums up where every team ranked from 25-60 is right now.

Personally, I think the mens team does not have a true point gurad nor a true center. they seem to have a bunch of 2's & 3's on this team who will live & die by the 3. Anybody else?

Everybody knows that winning starts with good gurad play. Especially point gurad. If you're going to have one great gurad, it should be your point gurad.

You mean besides overreacting fans on messages boards after losing on the road to a superior team?

Help me out Senolcyc. You seem to be familiar with aaronrodgers' new term. Is it pronounced Goo-rad, Grr-rad, Goo-rod or Grr-rod? I want to make sure I am pronouncing it correctly at my next cocktail party.

I can't believe I actually read past the OP's post, but as every other post was a slam to another's, it sucked me in till the end.

We don't have a true PG??? WTH? Why didn't anyone tell me until now?

I'm going to email Pollard this instant to correct this injustice.

Maybe we should call the Big 12 commish Dan Beebe and get his help on the matter.

It's GOO-rad as a noun ("he's a fine point GOO-rad") but it's goo-RAD as a verb ("you can't goo-RAD me, beeyotch").

Holy **** this thread has been full of win! Thanks to everyone involved, especially baller1.

We shot like **** last night. We got good looks but they just were not falling. End of story, it happens.

Although this thread derailed almost immediately, I'll answer at face value.

I think this team has done pretty well adjusting to the point-guard situation, lack of depth at center/power forward, and the reliance on the 3 has more upside than downside.

We also have a center who can pass like a point guard.

Or "gurad"

I think moron Hawk fans trolling.

Of course yur rite he is just a squawk troll....but I will say that when we play at baylor we usually

Play One of our Worst Games of the Year....

We er ISU men have never played well in the ferrel center and probably never will,

so we will just have to Live With Our Lousy Results Year after Year....

From the stats, the three Chrises did not have a great day...something like 6 for 25 shooting. Everything else went fine except perhaps Baylor dunks let them shoot 60%.We outrebounded Baylor 26-25 and made 2 of 4 free throws. The game was lost perhaps in the first half when we had more opportunities to excel. The technical did not help one bit on the shorts grabbing incident.

I totally agree with this. We may not have won had we had a better first half, but I believe it would have been a nailbiter at the end had we taken advantage of missed opportunities. How many wide open looks and lay-ups did we miss / rush? Too many! Plus, that technical was a huge momentum changer. They score 5 points on that - an absolute killer. I realize you can't let a team dunk on you time and time again, but, if we shoot a good percentage in the first half, I believe that we have a lead at the half, BU feels added pressure on them & comes out much tighter in the 2nd half. JMHO
