I do it for the drugs
I do it just to feel alive
I do it for the love
That I get from the bottom of a bottle

I don't know if this was serious or not, but I have this mindset. People call me cocky when I say it too. I just don't understand what's the point of doing something if you don't want to be the best at it.

I've never wanted to be the best at anything. I just want to operate in the 90th percentile of what I'M capable of doing.

It's actually the first line of the Pokemon theme song so take that for what it's worth

During the school year it was graduation. I was in several workout/sports classes at school and if I didn't show up, I would fail and not graduate. Now that they are over, I am in the routine of doing something active everyday and feel like **** if I don't. Down 70lbs since January and 12 since Graduation (even with a 3 week not giving a **** binge after graduation).

Now that I'm almost married, I've somewhat wondered if I should keep trying so hard with gym/occasional cardio/eating decent.

Then I go out in public, see couples, & think to myself just what in the literal **** is she doing with HIM?!?

I don't want people to look at us & wonder what she's thinking. It makes me feel a little better if EVERYBODY doesn't immediately know I'm the reacher in the relationship.

Not that I think you it would happen, but speaking as a guy that was married and is now no longer married, it's a lot easier to keep working out that to suddenly be single and have to make up for the time you didn't work out.

Just looking in the mirror and not wanting to be fat does it for me

not wanting to go back to my previous lifestyle is a big thing.........but enjoying the lifestyle I have now and the energy, pride in my abilities, and muscles that it gives me now!

I wax and wane on working out a lot or not as much - I find I have to switch it up and try new things to keep the same motivation. I generally designate certain days as "workout" days. Just like how M-F you generally have to go to work. Some days I just have to work out whether I want to or not. I say that as I sit at home 10 minutes before my "mandatory" Wednesday workout class starts. But I'm doing stuff today so it's ok. I think :p

but you're in Hawaii, man! There's got to be some biking, beach volleyball, swimming, or other totally awesome and fun outdoor activities to do to keep you in shape! I'd go crazy sticking to treadmill work.

Hard question. I guess I just do things....just because.

Oh, and some good motivation music if you want some rap songs....

"Put On" - Young Jeezy and Kanye

"Touch the Sky" - Kanye and Lupe Fiasco

"Till I Collapse" - Eminem

"Trophies" - Drake

And for whatever reason here's some country ones that get me going....

"Water" - Brad Paisley

Pretty much Anything by Carrie MorningWood, except for "Something Bad", that song was awful.

"That's My Kind of Night" - Luke Bryan

"Whiskey Lullabay" - Briad Paisley (I'm not joking)
