It doesn't surprise me that a hawk fan wouldn't understand the point. Posters aren't the ones exploiting ISU athletics. Cyclone Fanatic is more about increased traffic then what is in the best interest of ISU athletics. Therefore, they will tolerate relentless negativity toward ISU programs and players because they believe it leads to increased traffic, and thus increased revenue.

Holy crap dude. Instead of eating those Cheerios somebody obviously peed in, how about you jump off the site, stop crying and go get a doughnut to celebrate a National Doughnut Day instead?

Careful. You have no idea who I know and don't know. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of this sites policy, and why that hypocrisy persists. I well aware of my choices, but thanks for your patronizing response.

It doesn't really matter who you know and don't know. I know how the site has been moderated since its inception, and I know that it would be a lot easier and potentially help revenue if we went the vein of other college message boards in the state, where it's sort of a free-for-all. We moderate things that need it, keep things clean, and try to lead by example - you won't find a more positive person than Chris Williams. We're not going to police people's opinions, however, unless they're bashing each other or recruits. I can't think of a single site that does that, and CF hasn't done it ever.

LOL. Yeah, you got it. That's why you're paying such a high cost to post on these boards. I know Jeremy sure started this site thinking how he could get rich quick - you know, that's why he didn't sell ads or charge membership fees.

Does any site benefit from increased readership? Obviously, that's sort of how the internet works. But if you met any of the guys actually owning or administrating the site, you'd realize how far off-base you are. Every single one of the owners are huge ISU fans, and while this IS a business, it's first and foremost a place for them to share that passion.

But, if you don't like the site, there's always the little red X in the upper right of your browser.

Angie I'm going to give you a little food for thought. You seem to be getting a bit defensive about being criticized for how you do your job. Maybe you should consider how the coaches and players feel when they have to deal with the relentless criticism that exists on these boards for how they are doing their job.

Why is it that the only ones protected are the anonymous folks that are launching those attacks?

I don't run the site, so it's not a criticism of me. I think you patently don't understand how the internet works.

I don't know what ole c-willy is paying these days, but I'm thinking it's just slightly less than what the coaches or even the players are making.

Pics or it didn't happen! :)

my first thought was cougar-ish. Very pretty lady.

Dress was something along these lines except it did have material over the top of the other shoulder - not really a sleeve, but I guess like a square or portrait neckline type of thing? So no cleavage and drapey in the middle, but then quite, erm, snug at the bottom. She just left, that wasn't long at all.

That is a straight-up bizarre dress to wear to an office for any reason, unless it's a nooner.

Considering you've been a member since 2006 and have nearly 2,500 posts to your name, you seem to be contributing quite a bit to this cesspool of a website that we are running. We thank you for that.

And you're right. Iowa State's coaches obviously hate what we are doing. Why else would they bring their entire staffs to our annual parties at the Keg Stand?

You are correct. We are all closet Hawks who have an agenda to take down Iowa State athletics and tatter everything that it stands for. :jimlad:

Excuse me for trying to make an honest living.

One more response.

This is 2014. The Internet exists and like Ricky Bobby, is kind of a big deal.

Are their idiots on this site? Absolutely. Are their idiots on every message board in America? Yep. It is part of the world that we live in and when you're making what Paul Rhoads makes in a public position, that's part of the job. I feel like when you sign an LoI to play in the Big 12, you're accepting the negative aspects of that too.

And if you really think this site is bad then you really need to go around the web and do some research. This site is nothing. It's extremely tame. That's how we moderate it. It's always been that way. We will always do things this way.
