Hmmm...

Dog vs. train...don't trains usually win those encounters?

Tiger vs. tiger...hard to call that one...

Single letter vs. four letters...more is better, so go with four letters...

Single letter vs. the devil...single letters don't seem very imposing to me...take the devil...

Single letter vs. a cardinal...same as above...take the cardinal...

Single letter vs. cooky looking bird...same as above...take the cooky looking bird...

Dome vs. two letters...gotta give the letters some love...take the two letters...

Ram vs. bulldog...ram butts the bulldog out of the way...

Let me first say that I do believe that there is a difference between the low majors and mid-majors. Conferences like the Mountain West, A-10, MVC, and WCC are good conferences. I'm not saying that those small schools that get the 16 seeds should be getting more teams into the tournament.

But I do, believe that being at the top of those conferences is better than being in 7th place in the big ten. As far as scheduling goes, those schools had to win for many years in a row before they could even start scheduling tough. And even so, they still have to travel more than BCS school do. They have to get all those wins on road or nuetural courts while the BCS schools play the majority of their pre-season games at home.

You may be right about your comparison v. the Big 10 but the Big 10 is one of the weakest power conferences year in and year out...I'm talking about the good CBB conferences...ACC, Big 12, Big East, Pac 10, SEC.

Precisely...Memphis, Gonzaga, and Xavier have transcended their mid major conferences because they have had the fortitude to schedule tough schedules year in and year out over many years and have done well...they know the creampuff part of their schedule is the conference...look at Memphis...they have not lost a conference game in 2 plus years (and most of them are blowout wins).

The Big 12 is way over-rated and shouldn't have gotten as many at-large bids this year. The conference doesn't have any teams in the Sweet 16. I mean you can't count Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri, because they have too much talent to be considered Big 12 teams. :jimlad:

I love the circular logic.

Gonzaga, Memphis, and Xavier ARE mid-majors. Just because they are successful does not make them something else.

A #4 seed Kentucky beats a #1 seed Creighton in tonights NIT in Omaha.

You would have thought that Creighton was playing for the National Championship the way their fans were acting.

The power conference beats down the mid major weakling once again...with both seeding and venue against them!

First off, dont use a freaking NIT game to prove your point.

Secondly, What do you want their fans to do? Not cheer? They acted the same way ISU fans do when KU comes to town.

Just trying to point out to you that all your whining about poor seeding and having to play on the road is a bunch of excuses. UK was a middling team from a weaker conference this year and they just went into one of the top teams home arenas from the MVC and WON.
