I think they've made it much harder and the "trick" is to say you have medicine that requires refrigeration, which I think is kinda crappy to lie about. Now most of Caesars properties removed the mini bar and put in a fridge but still.

I wouldn't mess with putting food in a mini bar. I know a friend that had to pay for every bottle their food touched since it messed with the sensors.

If I don't get a place with a fridge, I do the classic @CycloneDaddy method of just filling the sink with ice.

Is this a Vegas thing? I travel a lot and most of my rooms have a mini fridge. I never go to Vegas though. So I am guessing this is some sort of Vegas wants you to buy their food and drink so they take out the mini Fridge? Is that right?

I would call it more of a resort thing but yea almost every place in Vegas has a mini bar with almost no room for your own drinks and everything is on a sensor so they can auto charge you if you move anything. A large chunk of Caesar properties have removed the mini bar and replaced it with a mini fridge though.

Testifying
If you are that set on a small fridge you are definitely doing something wrong while vacationing. There are bigger fish to fry then be a snob and NEED a fridge unless it’s fir medical reasons
Shut up Ryan

Just got notice that my Friday flight scheduled for a noon departure switched to 8 pm. What the hell.

YIKES! That is rough.

Not to get on a soap box, but bu**sh*t stuff like this that they pull is why we need a high speed rail system in the U.S. to give the airlines some competition.

Damn airlines have moved our flights out of KC twice, we went from a direct flight leaving at 7:30, to a flight that went from KC, Denver and then Bozeman then Vegas, and the 30 minutes later to another direct flight leaving at 6:00 to Vegas.

I am going to feel bad for the people that booked same day as game flights and flights that leave late night after game or early next morning and get their flights changed and miss game

Spirit.

But WHY are times switching so much? The logistics of it is difficult. Why not just keep previous times?
Airlines are having a big problem with having enough pilots and other staff. So they are switching around flights so the pilots that are working can get most flights done.

I got to the airport once and was told I had been removed from my Frontier flight a month earlier.

Was never told I had been removed until then.

Ended up doing an overnight which meant I had to pay checked bag fees twice.

Haven't flown Frontier since.

I have a couple flights that I booked a month ago for October that have changed 3 times. It's usually only 10 or 15 minutes so not a big deal so far.

I’ll be happy to be there by the time the game starts the way things are going with flight delays, Uber shortages and now Vegas starting to shut things down and put mask mandates back in place.

I was offered a stay at Tropicana today with reward points from credit card. Advice?
You never mentioned where you were staying originally so can't compare it.

But it's about on par with a retirement community. Hasn't been updated in years. The pit has tumbleweed blown through occasionally. If you fart it'll echo all the way to the elevators. No dining before the pandemic so I bet it's disgustingly pathetic now. The casino is very bright and pretty and the pool is actually decent. And Vegas locals get to use the pool complex for free.

Save your points.

Also I lied a little. They did revamp the pit right around the great recession. But the rooms are pretty rough.

Assuming you have a Hilton Card, use it for literally any other place.

Resorts World
Elara Grand Vacation
Waldorf Astoria
Hilton Grand Vacations at the Flamingo
Virgin Hotel

All those would be way better than the Trop.

Ballys just bought the Trop and they have supposedly have cool plans for it. Rumor is that Ballys (Caesars is only leasing the name) is gonna be rebranded to Horseshoe and Trop is gonna be rebranded to Ballys.

Don't know if anyone is planning on driving but you might not be able to go through Colorado on I-70 for a while.
