I have to go with interrupting.

Nowadays younger people equate texting with talking and fret if someone doesn't respond within the next 2 minutes or so. If I text someone and they don't respond I don't worry about it unless it is something important but if that is the case I would call.

This one hits home with me. I drive alot for work, so txts don't get checked very often. So I always miss the important stuff, like one kid picking on the other or I need a ride to so & so's house. I can take calls while driving and they know that, so if they choose to txt TS. some day they'll figure it out.

My biggest texting / email pet peeve is when people respond with "k" or other one-word answers. Usually its older people who commit this terrible act.

The best is when people have read alerts on their iMessages and still ignore them. It's like "Hey! I know you read it."

One letter/word responses save bandwidth. Which saves energy. Which saves the environment for our kids. Why do you hate kids?

I find it frustrating the amount of text/emails that get sent for the most simple questions. The effort to respond in type is much more than the effort to say hello and actually SPEAK. Plus tone and inflection can come through in the spoken language and I find it valuable.
