Which player on our roster do you think a vast majority are sleeping on?

Everyone feels under the radar this year somehow. Even our sophomore PG who vastly exceeded expectations and our 5 star freshman

I agree with CoKane, everyone feels under the radar and conversely no-one feels like a "sure thing". I'm torn on this upcoming season. Part of me wants to buy into this being a great team, because on paper all of the pieces are there. On the flip side, there's very little "proven" by anyone on the roster. Lipsey is probably the most "proven" player, and it's not in his scoring ability.

As exciting as the potential is for everyone, I'm holding waaay back on expectations. It's going to be a very young team and the competition (conference) is top notch. I'll be watching every game I can because it will be a very interesting team, but at the moment I'm just hoping we make the tournament.

He'll definitely lead the team in usage %. When he gets the ball, he's almost always shooting it.

That was always my complaint, but he started flashing some really nifty kick-outs during the last few weeks of the season last year.

I think King is going to be a dog this upcoming season. A junkyard dog that gets nasty and his game will have improved quite a bit.

I also like Gilbert to kind of take that alpha role. Hopefully, as we need someone who's not afraid to take over in big moments.

I imagine this team will start out slow and get true chemistry midway through the season and land about a 6-7 seed. I think there's too much talent for them to not make the tourney. Obviously most of us realize we should have tempered expectations, but lots of moving pieces and young talent to be excited about. It'll be fun to watch all the new faces gel and see who emerges as the "consistent scorers" on this team. Which, I know it'll probably rotate often.

Demarion Watson and Curtis Jones. I think both will be significantly better than many expect.
I'm not sure on Watson yet. He looked very uncomfortable on offense last year, seems he had a long way to go. Love his potential, but I'm thinking we will get more of the same from him this year, which is great defense, limited offense.

Curtis Jones and Demarion Watson.

I am hopeful the Hason Ward hype is real but tbd.

Keshon Gilbert isn't a sleeper. He will start at SG and will likely be our leading scorer.

I think a lot of Watson's inconsistency on offense was due to him being a freshman. If you watch his high school highlights he looks very comfortable shooting the three and looks very smooth on offense. I hope the experience from last year with improve his comfort level on offense this year. Time will tell.

I should’ve said incoming freshman exclusively. But if we’re talking as a whole, I agree with the ones that said Hassan Ward and Curtis Gibson. Gibson in particular. I think he could be a huge impact player.
This Curtis Gibson player must be really slept on since I’ve never heard him

Seems like people have forgotten about Tre King. I think he's going to have a good year.

So many good picks just given how wide open the roles seem at this point.

Most lukewarm take of all time, but I'm going with Milan. I've been extremely high on him since he first popped on the radar and think he'll play a big role, like 6th man or starter big. Don't know if he's there right away (although I wouldn't be THAT stunned) but his ability to just put the ball in the basket in a variety of ways is at as high a level as any HS recruit ISU has maybe ever landed.

Drooling thinking about how tough of an ask it would be for a team to have to guard Tre, Omaha, and Milan at once. If Omaha can find success shooting, dribble driving, or even cutting from the perimeter, you're likely asking three different defenders to be able to handle one-on-ones on the perimeter and interior.

A lotta offseason hype.

If this staff can figure figure out zone deployment, both in terms of players being on the same page (well-coached) and timing, Ward can be a weapon. His weak-side help capabilities are potentially devastating IF he can stay out of foul trouble. He's also adept near the rim with put backs and loose balls and runs the floor extremely well.

Ward should have had more minutes last year. I hope he and King take the majority of Jones minutes as they are simply better/more useful players.

Hasan won't be our best player, he will be a difference maker. Previously our defense was good because of effort, not necessarily because of talent/athleticism. But with Ward, Watson, Lipsey, and Omaha this team has an opportunity to be special on the defensive end.

Really excited to see what Ward and Watson do this year.

Yeah, I'm not all that sold yet. He has good size and cuts to the basket really well. Also a good defender and rebounder. But, I've not seen anything to say that he's ever going to be a plus offensive player.

Keshon Gilbert - Sleeper. I have a feeling he will average 15 points a game. Followed up by Player of the Year his Senior year. Telling, this is the next Iowa State Star!!

I think Watson is going to take the Matt Thomas route. Has everything you want, just needs to put it on the court.
