Who doubts Bubu now?

You sir, are certainly entitled to your opinion, but clearly you don't understand basketball if you do not value Bubu as a real player.
Also, the first person Fred called out in the locker room was Bubu.
Yes Lucious had 9 assists but a few of his shots were poor and led to fast breaks for OU which is about the same as a turnover and takes shots away from our other players.

It ended up being a great move by Hoiberg. KL wasn't playing well. Bubu comes in and plays great D and Clyburn basically runs the point. OU had no answer for us during that time on offense, and we played the best D of the game.
Of course it helped that OUnstopped hitting shots and we were great on the boards down the stretch

I think Bubu is going to be very important next season. We have scorers here and coming in. We need a guy that can run the show, especially early in the season. Perhaps Long or Morris will take over later, but I don't see them ready to win big games right away
We ******* won the game and there are still trolls that love to rip on Bubu. Some are giving him a bit more credit than he deserves - but ****. The kid came in and plays some solid minutes at a time when not much else was working.

Bubu did okay by not messing things up too badly or anything, but I wouldn't say he was that positive a factor either. I mean he played 10 minutes, had one assist, 2 turnovers, 1 rebound and 3 fouls. Not exactly game-winning factor stats for any player.
What won the game was Will moving to the point, Melvin and Will taking over on the boards, some 3's finally dropping, and an absolute shut-down defense the last eight minutes, especially on Osby. Will scored 10 of ISU's points in a row.......from the ISU score of 53 to the ISU score of 63 when ISU took the lead. That is what won the game.

Completely agree. But would say that everyone on the floor contributed; however, credit for the win goes to all players on the floor. Babb made some great plays too. And McGee started to look like McGee at the end too. If they were not doing their job, they would not have been out there. Nuff said.
Except, let's give Fred huge credit, as it is due, because he made the adjustments that needed to be made - and we won. This guy has a huge coaching career if he wants it - let's hope it is in Ames!
Bubu is a valuable member of the team. Why does anyone have to say any more? We won, and part of it was due to his play especially on the defensive end. We have plenty of scorers, we lack defenders and today he filled that role. So what if the stat sheet isn't that great.
Yeah I hate it when we put fake players in there to help us win games....NO THANKS.
I think its the match-up with OU. ISU's offense sputtered with Lucious the last 2 games against the Sooners....Bubu was able to drive to the hole in the game quite a bit at Norman and gave the Clones a temporary spark, and then Korrie came back in, and the offense didn't flow well. I think i saw some of that flow again with Bubu today, but Clyburn taking the point really turned the game.
I am a Bubu supporter going forward. He's actually kinda big for a guard and can give ISU some match-up edges next season with his size. Im not saying he's a great player, but he will be an important player next year.
I think Bubu's ability to get to the hole is under-rated a bit. Its seems painfully obvious to me that you need to keep him from going to his right, but teams refuse to shade him that way. Perhaps its not a function of how they want to guard ISU's spacing.

I've been hard on Bubu, and he's still frequently out of control when he's driving, but he did exactly what a role player is supposed to do today. Props to him for that, props to Fred for making that call, and props for KL to recognize that the game was flowing better without him, and selflessly keeping himself out in favor of the hot hand. The true mark of a leader.

If Lucious isn't making his shots and isn't going to play point, then what is the point in having him in the game over Bubu since Bubu plays such better defense?
Ability to create and make shots. Even if he isn't facilitating the offense, Lucious is a good enough shooter and good enough at driving to the hoop to be valuable.
It makes a lot of sense in hindsight, but I thought it was a ballsy move when he did it, and Kruger had no answer.
Never doubted Bubu. He rarely tries to make a play he has no business making on the offensive end and usually gives good effort on the defensive end. Not much to dislike about his game. He also tends to make the easier play more often than KL does.
