He's not a great shooter but he's good enough to start. He just may never be the offensive player we'd like him to be. This is where recruiting comes in. As long as he doesn't turn the ball over I'm not concerned.

Wtf do you think assistant coaches are for? I'd hope our head coach is utilizing everyone's abilities. This isn't Iowa City where their job is to just hold back the head coach
I find it hilarious that some of you don’t know that Schmidt actually did a **** ton of offensive stuff for Hoiberg when he was a GA here.
Oh boy, then let me tell you about numerous coaches across the country. Including Hoiberg.
TJ is a great coach. In charge of everything. Taking a bunch of nobody’s to the NCAA’s his first two years after taking over the worst Iowa State team in history. Making lemonade out of lemons. The shortcomings of this team finally could not be overcome. Best recruiting class in Iowa State history will be coming in next year. TJ has been a homerun hire. Future is bright.
