Didn't know exactly where to put this but I was watching Purdue's exhibition against Truman and I did not realize that David Jenkins Jr. (previously at SDSU, UNLV, and Utah) was on Purdue.

He should be a solid piece in the 6th man role for Purdue. Painter does a nice job of generating open looks for shooters and he's a career 41.3% 3PT shooter.

Best bet to me is Jaren Holmes but don't sleep on Tre King when he is eligible. Here is the PPG from the last season of the four guys I think could lead in scoring:

Jaren: 13.5 (St. Bonaventure)
Gabe: 9.6 (Iowa State)
Osun: 11.3 (St. Bonaventure)
King: 14.9 (Eastern Kentucky)

It is definitely a big step up in competition for Tre King, but his highlights showed a good ability to score. He can finish at the rim, shoot from three a bit (34% on 2 attempts per game), and a career 72% free throw shooter. I think it is realistic he could lead in scoring, but coming in during the middle of the season is difficult.

I went wild with it and picked Tre, even though he hasn't played in a millennium now.

Whenever I see that phrase used on CF, I think of this thread.

(It isn't a comparative thing involving any player or analysis within it, just for some reason it has stuck in me-head)

Oof, also I'm thinking it'll be like 3 guys averaging 11-13 in some order, and it'll be a different guy every night leading.

Feel a lot better about tonight than TCU fans probably do. Probably should’ve lost but ended up beating Arkansas-Pine Bluff by 1 and APB had a good look to win it.

Oklahoma fans aren't loving the start to their season either. They blew a 14 pt lead to Sam Houston in Norman with under 10 minutes left.

I'm no wiz at the maths, but I have no idea how that works out.

I voted Gabe, and that still might be the right answer in the end. But after last night, it seems like Holmes is gonna have the ball in his hands a lot, and he is not shy about driving or putting it up.

So if I had to guess again today, I would vote Holmes.

As many others have pointed out though, there is going to be a lot of balance at the top, as well as a lot of variance in the complimentary players. One night Grill may have 18, and the next he may have 4. Kunc, Jones, and others will prob be the same up and down.
