Before they talked about SOS and said Michigan played no one. (I think they thought OSU would win). One slipped up and said TCU was 20 spots higher than OSU and OSU was 56. 56 means the average quality of team you played was the worst team in the P5. That’s an awful SOS.
When you play in the BIG, strength of schedule will never be good.

Wait til you see this dousy of a schedule. Fake ID of College Football Part 2 in 2024 when Iowa gets their 2015 redux. How the hell does a West team get all 3 East bottom feeders in the same season? Gary Barta must slide a chunk of his inflated salary to the person in charge of B1G scheduling.

Yeah OSU would get smoked my USC’s passing game. Might turn into a shootout but if they can’t slow down Michigan’s passing game the future heisman winner would feast.
I will say it again, but thank you for sticking around these boards. Always fun to get the perspective of an outside voice, especially from a Big Ten fan who isn't an Iowa fan. I appreciate how level-headed you always appear to be. I agree, watching what Michigan's offense did to Ohio State is scary to think what Caleb Williams would do to the Buckeyes. Yes the USC defense is NOT Michigan, so it would be interesting. What the Trojans are good at on defense though is getting turnovers, and if they would force a couple, Ohio State wouldn't be able to keep up.

I really want to see Georgia v. USC and then Michigan v. TCU. Flipping Kansas State is going to make me hate them even more than I already do by screwing the Big 12 over though. I think they beat TCU.

This will be an interesting CFP decision. You move USC above OSU, or let the B1G media bias carry the day?
Caleb Williams is probably the best player in the country, so USC deserves a shot.

But I will say - Lincoln Riley is excellent at getting guys the Heisman, not so great at all in the playoff though for W - L.

I agree with the first part but not the second.

Georgia and Michigan are in no matter what I think.

TCU and USC are in if they win.

Ohio State is in if one of them loses.

It will be really wild if both TCU and USC lose. I think Alabama has an outside shot then.
Why should Bama get in over Tennessee? Both 2 loss teams and Tennessee beat Bama.

I think Michigan & Georgia are in no matter what. USC is in if they beat Utah, if USC loses then Ohio State should be in.

IMO TCU should be in barring a 30 pt loss to KSU. Yes a 1 loss TCU should get in over a 1 loss Ohio State. TCU's one loss would be in game 13. Ohio State didn't play a 13th game to potentially lose.

Yea, Yea I understand OSU's only loss was to #2 Michigan. But TCU shouldn't be penalized (just like undefeated Georgia and Michigan) for playing in their CCG.

IMO there should only be 5 schools left in the playoff discussion: Georgia, Michigan, TCU and (USC or OSU).

The committee already made this call, by putting Bama ahead last week, and neither team's game this past weekend is going to change that. Tennessee getting housed by South Carolina is the difference, and now they're now without their best player, in Hooker. There's no scenario where the Vols get in.

I initially thought the committee might drop OSU behind Bama, based on how the buckeyes lost, but I don't think that's going to happen now.

I understand the impact of Tennessee having a more recent loss than Alabama. And maybe some concern that the loss of Hooker would bring Tennessee's offense down. But after getting past the recency effect in last weeks rankings, I hope that Tennessee whipping Vandy and fact the Vols beat Alabama they will flip/flop those 2 schools.

Also the Tennessee loss to the Gamecocks doesn't look so bad with SoCar beating Clemson this week.

Not exactly sure.
Remember, the committee addressed the 13th data point a few years ago. It was important then, but now not so much. Their key points change for each year. You know, how do we make sure our favorite SEC and Big ten teams get in. They also have more reps from those conferences then the others.

They still got absolutely wrecked in their own house, and without Hooker, does anyone really think they're better than Bama, today? We'll see what happens, but I'm highly doubtful that Tennessee jumps them now, when they already had Bama ahead only thing that's changed is both teams beating down inferior opponents.

To be clear, I don't think either team is worthy of a playoff spot. I'm trying to look at it the way I think the committee will, though.

There is one way to compare them. They both played Notre Dame.

Both won by 11. OSU had to come back in the 4th. USC controlled the whole game. Notre Dame is a much better team than they were in September. Who has Ohio State played/beaten on that vastly superior Big 10 schedule? Penn State? Please.
How ya comparing them today?
