So let's wrap this thing up...

Niang is 3-0 vs. Uthoff.
Niang has had his team in the top 15 territory for the duration of his career.
Niang has been superior statistically to Uthoff throughout his entire career.
Niang is the winningest player in Cyclone history.
Niangs jersey will be in the raters next to Hoiberg.

Uthoff had a really impressive six week stretch. Really really pretty cute to try to compare him to Georges Niang.

Nice summary. Let this thread dissolve already...

Niang hasn't produced on the defensive end his entire career. Uthoff has. Yes, Uhtoff is slumping, but a really good 2 way player is better than a really great 1 way player.

there are intangibles like oncourt and off-court leadership, being vocal, having natural leadership abilities.

Plus Niang is a great passer, and has a ton of career assists...

Uthoff? none of the above. zero...ziltch. many of his box scores read "Assists: 0"

Niang seemed to shut Uthoff down in the second half in December. All while not missing beat on offense, and leading his team to victory.

Great we'll let you keep your dirty thug transfer and we'll take our likely 2nd all time scorer right-way 4 year player.

Everybody wins!

Uthoff beat up on Big 10 patsies. Niang has had to played a ranked team for basically two straight months.

Iowa fans worship Kenpom.

ISU has played the best defensive opponents SOS in the nation. Niang shooting almost 55% averaging almost 20ppg against that schedule...pretty much every coach and opponent saying he's the toughest cover in the country.

It's cute Iowa fans would take their guy who is a known choker over a leader like Niang.
