Mevis played great! 4 of 4 FG's , most of his kicks into the EZ, some against the wind I think! Big bonus to the ST's play for sure!

And did we even have to punt once? I think I remember one, a fairly poor to mediocre 30+ yard punt. Lucky we didn't need too much of that tonight!

Mevis meant everything tonight. We would’ve been in a much different situation late in the game without making those.

Only performance that I can think of was Culbertson drilling 5 field goals against Iowa in 2007. Other than that, I have nothing.

The only thing that performance MAY of had on Mevis’ game was the weather. I remember it being kind of crappy outside that day. The stakes weren’t near as high though, everyone knew that team wasn’t very good. And it was at home.

The only thing that remotely compares to this Mevis Performance was when Shaggy Kicked the Winning Field Goal against Iowa in JTS.....Gene Chizik was the Coach and Said before the game..."This is the Biggest Game of the Year!

Mevis has been especially impressive this season due to his real lack of easy FG's, 10 of his kicks have occurred at +40 yards whereas only 2 have occurred inside that mark.

I think he is done after this year. The Covid rule means a player gets 6 years to compete in 4 seasons, and the 2020 season does not count as one of the 4. He played in 17, 18 and 19. Sat out 2020 since his previous team cancelled the season. This year makes year 4.
