Quinn's stats as a JuCo:
Kansas Media Guide said:
Was a second-team all-conference selection as both a freshman
and sophomore at Snow Junior College… Twice earned national player of the week honors… Earned conference offensive player of the week three times as a sophomore… As a sophomore he completed 202 of 323 passes for 3,091 yards, 40 touchdowns and 11 interceptions… His 257 passing yards per game ranked fifth in the nation… He led the Badgers to a 10-2 record and a national ranking of fifth… As a freshman he played in 10 games completing 128 of 212 passes for 1,851 yards, 25 touchdowns and just five interceptions… Team was 11-011 interceptions"

To be honest, I'd rather play a banged up Webb than this guy. With Webb there is tape to analyze, this guy obviously isn't the best in the world, but he isn't a wet behind the ears freshman either. Given our past history with Kansas I'd hate to have him claim a permenant hold on the starter's job with a breakout game!

I will almost gaurentee this line will be easily over 20 by the weekend. It should be. If they play their #4 and Beshears and Sands are out the score should be close to what OK did to us and I am not kidding. I also did say should, not will.

Supposedly down to their #4 QB now... Gill presser is this afternoon.

D.J. Beshears and Deshaun Sands will be serving one-game suspensions for violation of team rules. #kufball

I wonder if they were swearing or missed curfew.

If he was worth a crap, you'd have to have think he would have played by now.

That's one thing, but seeing a girl after 10, if they did that, oh my. That should be a dismissal from the team. There is not room in college football for things like that.

I would guess that Tiller and Capello will do most of the game for us. ARob will probably be rested for most of the game. A lot of the younger players on both offense and defense will probably get some time also.

Let's worry about getting a lead to justify this first.

Obviously, I just was being pessemistic given how poorly we've played against Kansas as of late. I hope this means we beat them by 50, I just refuse to get cocky quite yet.

Sidenote: They also plan on working in Christian Mathews at QB. He's listed as a QB on the roster but has no pass attempts yet this year. It does look like he's lined up at Wide Reciever and on kickoffs a few times though. One reception and fielded two kickoffs.

Before everyone starts predicting a blowout remember what ISU did to Nebraska last year without our starting QB and RB.

I saw 20.5 on collegefootballnews.com. Hopefully we stay focused and don't get over confident....
