Why not try Jantz right now?

I am in total agreement that the offense has been horrible. I just can't give the defense a pass on their performance today. Even if the offense was doing their job, I never felt that the defense was capable of stopping them today. Just seemed a step slow all day long. Could very well be the cummulative effect of riding their backs the past few weeks.

outside of the 2 throws vs tcu which obviously just really took them off guard barnett has played well below average...
You forgot your jimlad. See above.

I'd like to see Jantz when he doesn't have the defense coming on an all-out blitz at the end of the game.

This is all on coaching. You can't get "consistent" play from erratic play calling. It seems like they don't want things to work because when they do, we never call the same play again. JB had 50 yards on 7 carries. That's 7 yards per carry......but only 7 carries. The opening ****** was great! The playaction boot for 40 yards Bundrage. Same thing last week on the one to Horne on the first drive. We didn't run it again. They're sending all out blitzes and Mess is calling stuff requiring him to stay in the pocket thats not there. We run option for big gains but we only run it 3 times. If we want the running game to pickup, call the stuff that's been successful. I agree with an earlier poster. This is a coaching issue. Many on here are looking at the big picture. It starts with the little things and that is coaching.

I don't think this is on the QBs. Its the fault of the WRs. Tiller killed an important drive after we got the fumble with an awful drop and then taking a knee a yard short of the first down.

Young killed our best drive of the second half with an awful drop.

And Jantz didn't have a chance to get rolling with Woodys attrocious drop (and after that Jantz made his usual bad decisions.)

Shontrelle was poor and the guys who dropped balls killed us. If those guys weren't so bad we probably put a score in to cut it to 7 in the second half and maybe it becomes a game.

But Tiller killing a drive after the fumble, Young killing a drive on a perfect throw from JB, and Woody dropping a shovel pass with 10+ yards in front of him are why we lost. Those 3 drives cost us the chance to make it a game.

Our wide receivers were not very good except the first series.

Sure youre right. Dont leave the WR's out. There were plenty of drops and the pass blocking on our screens was horrible. But the guy getting paid a lot of money to know his personnel, their strengths and weaknesses, is responsible for putting the players in a position to be successful. So, when you call plays and they are successful, you keep running it until the defense stops you! That's unacceptable! How many times did OSU bring that receiver in motion and just give it to Randle? At least 15 times. And we didn't recognize it! Hell, we never stopped it so they kept running it until he popped a big one. That takes a lot of pressure off the QB and OL. They came out in the 3Q and went screen left for 8, screen right for 9, screen left, screen right.......we couldn't stop it and they kept running it. A good play caller puts his players in position to be successful!

And players making the blocks they need to make. And quarterbacks making the throws they need to make. And receivers not dropping balls, or running the wrong routed. And the defense not getting the opposing offense off the field sooner.

Seems like one person not seeing the "big picture" is you. Forest, meet trees.

This loss was on everyone. Time to come back home, spend a week working hard, and play better next Saturday. That's all there is to it.

I see the big picture, but I also look for the little things. You should have read my last post.
