Why the Herman Hate?

Good solid points by all of you.... what has he done that makes everyone so angry? I'm only asking because I don't watch Texas. I just know he cause a lot of anger out of all Cyclone fans.

I think it's a personality thing. From a coaching standpoint, he was very 'meh' as our OC. But he was arrogant enough to refuse to take any accountability. Rubbed people the wrong way while not producing much. And since moving on from Ames, appears to have just gotten more arrogant at OSU and now UT. And it appears he's coaching that arrogance (not confidence, but a feeling of entitlement) as a fundamental part of his program. Continues to be super arrogant without really backing it up.

I don't like Herman, but I'm not gonna blame him for the Mizzou/Drew Lock thing. Lock started it. That's what makes sports fun. I'm guessing the response will be "Herman should have been the bigger man" but I enjoy trash talk

From what I understand, the guy was far from faithful, he did some things, CPR asked him to start looking for other jobs, he got hired at tOSU, and he did some less then steller things to ISU on his way out and has continued to do so since.

Had to root for Texas to beat K State on Saturday to help us in the standings. That will be the one and only time I root for Mensa's team.

Some people come across as pricks but deep down are decent people. Pretty sure Herman is exactly what he comes across as. Guy either has no clue how to socialize appropriately or he’s a gigantic ******* who doesn’t give a ****. Thinking it’s the latter.

He is one of the few coaches I haven't met, so I don't know his personality outside of the rumors on here. But his mind was on tOSU before our bowl game against Rutgers in NYC. I think I am more mad at that as I spent some good money going to that game. He should've stepped aside and let Mess mess things up.

Add the Mensa thing, and people don't like the idea that he might be smarter than they are. He might and he might not, but hearing it brings defensiveness out of people.

The Mensa thing has zero percent to do with how smart he is or isn't and 100% with him being a prick about it.
