Iron City / IC Light

One time in ic, I bought cooler, ice and a case of Shlitz Ice light. Gave the cashier a ten ( some time ago) got change for a twenty. Ten bucks in my pocket plus the cooler and beer. My good fortune ended the next morning when praying for a quick death.

This is up there for me.

Pig's Eye would be my vote too. When I went to Mankato State in the early 90's you could buy a case of longnecks for $8.00. Tasted like crap. Only bought one case.

So it doesn't have that awful metallic/grape jelly taste that all of those cheap lagers from Minnesota and Wisconsin have?

Well I didn't say that. It's sort of hidden by the excessive malty sweetness. I just had a few sips. It's not good, but it's not awful.

Well, that's my number 1 pet peeve in a beer. In a social setting I'll drink damn near anything, and I'm just fine with many "bad" beers.

But I can't stand the flavor that beers like anything that comes out of the Minhas Brewery and others like it have. I may use the wrong description, but it reminds me of metallic grape jelly. If I can't taste that, I'll gladly drink it in certain settings.

I dunno - I've had a 6+ month old canned Guinness once (leftover from St. Patty's Day - I love Guinness, but I don't like overkilling it), and it tasted as perfect as it did when I first had it on St. Patty's Day.

Listen to the podcast to determine just how old the beer they were drinking was. :wideeyed:
