I was more mad at taking two shots on 1st and 2nd down and getting absolutely nothing out of it than choosing to kick the FG.

There's really not much methodical going on and there were several times that needed to happen today.

Meh, I agreed with kicking, the other two kicks were a lot better than the last. You don't think he could miss 3 after going perfect for the year.

If you're kicking it there you're not just depending on the kicker to get that one, but also know there's a good chance you're going to have to depend on that kicker in OT. With how our kicker was today, I would have felt terrible about our chances in OT.

Winning today meant leaving with a TD. The decision to kick it was a terrible one.

At the very least why not try one of the other 3 kickers on the roster. It was well established Gilbert sucks

losing Brock pretty much wrecked Manning's game plan. The other guys did okay, but Brock was really make a lot out of nothing at the beginning of the game. A decent running game would have taken a lot of the pressure off of Dekkers.

The play of the OL today was embarrassing. Not sure what else to say about it.

This could be Campbell's worst offense at ISU. There were playcalling issues today. Losing Brock early was a huge blow. Our young QB has talent but makes young QB mistakes. There's little incentive for defenses not to stunt/pressure a lot, which wears on our OL who is average anyway.

The defense is still lights out in the second half, but has shown some weaknesses in the first half.

And then our special teams **** their pants.

If we play a complete game, I'm still confident we can play with anyone in the Big 12. But until we actually do, I'll have a hard time predicting a W over anyone in the top half of the conference.
...or anyone in the conference, to be honest.

I'm fine with the crossers....that should beat man coverage consistently and if the crossers are smart enough to see zone they should be able to sit down. Kansas plays a ton of man so it should consistently move the ball.

The problem is Dekkers can't put the ball into the endzone consistently when precision becomes required.

Why was Dekkers lined up in shotgun before they changed their mind? They sneaked it easily earlier in the game. ISU needs an analytics guy to help them get over the hump in close games. We would have had 9 or 10 wins in each of the last 6 seasons if Campbell won his share of one score games.
