An attention loving girl I went to high school with named her child Boston. She's the type that will post every moment of social networking for even more attention.

I had an African-American lady who worked in the factory in Richmond who's name on her application was Brown, Female. I had to go over to HR to ask if there'd been a mistake. It turns out her name is fuh-mall-ee, Female Brown. She was an absolute riot to have around!

My best friend (who is very, very smart but a little naive), her husband, my husband, and I were all playing Trivial Pursuit one night. She was reading the question, and she read it as something like, "What SNL skit featured a shuh-mah-lay?" Nobody had ANY clue what she was talking about, so I looked at the card. It was "shemale."

Ima Hogg (July 10, 1882 – August 19, 1975), known as "The First Lady of Texas",[SUP][1][/SUP] was an American philanthropist, patron and collector of the arts, and one of the most respected women in Texas during the 20th century.[SUP][

It appears her father was Governor of Texas, way back when.[/SUP]

Governor Boss Hogg?

This. I was reading recently how there had been a huge jump in babies named "Katniss" this year. (I'm assuming it was nearly zero before) How big of a trend slave do you have to be to name your kid that?

I believe this. Being the child I am, I probably would've named a kid after somebody on Game of Thrones if I had one when I was reading the books. And then they'd probably turn into a complete tool or die a horrible death in future books.

Someone at my work is now named "Kelly Kelly" after getting married. She shouldn't have taken her husband's name.

No offense taken, but my oldest son's middle name is Royal. Family name, and I think it's pretty cool.

Sorry for the confusion, I have no problems with the name. Just the fact that he changed his name at 32 years old and changes his name to something that has no meaning to him after he has started his career, etc. Just seemed odd.

8 pages and nobody has brought up the worst name trend in Iowa??

Kinnick.

My son has not one but two boys in his class named Kinnick. My wifes cousin named his kid Kinnick and my brother in law was going to name his kid Kinnick until they found out they are having a girl.

Seriously, how would you like to be named after a football stadium? I just want to slap the **** out of every parent with a child named Kinnick.
