Im assuming QB is going to be out for the season. CPR didnt seem to be too confident in his presser.

If we can get in to the red zone I like our chances with Lazard and Montgomery...that's a big "if" though at this point.

Daley had the best day, not sure why you wouldn't have him start

I agree that Daley had a good day. Remember that Montgomery didn't suit up. I think Montgomery starts over Daley even though Daley plays a lot next week. I think Mangino gives Richardson the opportunity to rekindle the synergy that Montgomery/Richradson shared from high school. If it fails, Richardson will be done at QB by the Baylor game.

Would be nice if Sam could check off every on e in a while. I will agree that blocking for him took a nose dive halfway through the 2nd quarter and never got back to normal.

Rohach needs to starts. He is the better passing QB. Once again we're relegated to a passing team because of Many recruiting misses on the offensive line. We can not run block against anyone. Time to air it out and hope for the best. When a QB scramble is your best running play..............

Assuming Bundrage is out, I'd like to see Montgomery, Daley and West start but IIRC Montgomery and Daley play the same position.

Also, anyone else still completely bothered to see us once again waste Jarvis West's skillset? We have arguably the most elusive guy to ever put on a Cyclone uniform and we do absolutely nothing creative to get him the ball in space.

Steele could do it. Maybe Tiller or Barnett. Someone we know needs to be more decisive/committed in passing. Personally Jarvis and our biggest receivers and Bibbs should be a handful to cover. If we cannot hit that group, we are not doing it right even if pass blocking is not so hot.

When Sam rolls out, he usually keeps running. Let's tell him to run it out outside and then pass the ball downfield to surprise the defense.

Totally conficting post.

No one can play QB at a high level for ISU due to sad blocing up front and void of running game. Sam is the least of our concerns.

But the simpletons will continue blaming the QB.

For receivers, my expectations are very low. As they have been for a number of years. Lots of hype, lame production.

Pathetic blocking doesn't help.

I think Dvario or Daley will move to X receiver. Both have practiced there. We'd have Montgomery/Lazard, Daley/Harris, or something like that.

Lazard won't be around after this season

Yeah i heard the same thing he is going to transfer to go play QB as he sure has his hand offs down! I kid,I kid! I actually felt horrible that he didn't get that touchdown and then that happened.

If Montgomery cant stay out of the dog house it's time to let him go. He's been warned, he knows the rules, enough is enough.
Was he and Ecby not allowed to suit up because they wore sweat pants to a team meeting? Maybe that was worded poorly in the article but if true CPR maybe overboard with his team rules.

I'm not convinced Montgomery will ever put himself in position to start. Unless something changes soon and drastically he isn't long for Ames.

Lazard is going to be good eventually. He's a Cyclone through and through. Not going anywhere.

Montgomery and Daley only play the same position because Bundrage and Montgomery should play the same position but both are too good not to start so one plays the other spot.
