Yea what the hell lets just kick another great player off our team. We couldn't get worse could we. Is that what we are all striving for now? A team of good boys who all get along. It was known that Montgomery would sit game one, a long time ago. As for GR starting...umm no. I watched him in two scrimmages and it wasn't even close as to who are starting qb should be.
He was open a handful of times, but Richardson never got him the ball... there was one time when he had a 5 yard cushion on everyone on a post, richardson never looked at him... that was what absolutely killed me yesterday.

Direct from article by Gray. I had heard earlier that he admitted to a bad attitude and being lucky to still be with the team however I thought that was why he was 4th on the depth chart. At the time I thought that was his punishment but hoped he would still play. Then I read this from Gray's article.
Question for persons at the game- Close in TV cameras don't show this. Why do our receivers not get open? I assume the reason Richardson is not throwing the ball is because no one is open.
He was double teamed for most of the game. In theory, that's some of the reason why Sam was able to scramble for 7-10 yards underneath a few times.
I'm afraid that's going to happen a lot this season, esp. if bundrage is out. The defenses we will face have now been shown a blueprint of exactly how beat us. Double-team Bibbs to make him a non-factor, and take the chance that we can't (or won't ?) get the ball downfield to one of our other receiver in 1-on-1 coverage. That chance worked out well for NDSU.
Montgomery and Ecby sat yesterday because they failed drug tests in the winter. They should be playing next week. From what I've heard QB is gonna be out for the year with a torn ACL. Thats how it looks anyways. That means the starters will probably be Lazard, West, and Daley. Montgomery will play a lot.
Bibb and Wimberley did not show up the second half or else Sam was keeping the ball too much.
I would love to see Montgomery become our big-play guy, our Mike Wallace.
