Yeah - Dg always has the ball in his hands and is always taking the most shots. How is that working out for the TEAM anyway? 12th in the Big 12... yeah DG is great though!!

Im sorry and dont care if this gets deleted, but you are a retard....... ISU was picked last in the big 12... What were you expecting???? The guy can play and will play pro ball... The fact that teams know he is going to penetrate and score, and he still does shows me he is a good player.... and i for one am glad he is a cyclone. And he will be missed next season...

You're right, but you shouldn't be throwing stones this week Mr. "We absolutely can't bench Ejim because he'll never bounce back and have a good game if do".

whats pro ball mean? europe? NBA? D league?

DG is having an outstanding year. Minus the final 60 seconds of every game.

also, if DG would of had a season like this season last year, we would not have been picked last this season. we were picked last because of lack of depth, new coach, and everyone thought our guards sucked.

That's not what I said. I said I didn't think it was the right move and I admitted the error in my ways that night.

ps the fact that DG takes the most shots doesnt mean shiz... what does is his FG%... if he has a high FG% and shoots the most shots, that equals good. shoot more.

There have been times in the past where I bagged on DG. The DG we are seeing this year is a different level of performance than what we saw in the past. For example, DG is finishing at the hole much better than in his previous seasons. I don't see nearly as many great drives with a missed layup on the end. Secondly, DG is a seriousl threat to not only shoot from outside, but to actually make the defense play him honestly. His assist to TO ratio is much better, although the TO at the end of regulation time probably ways heavily in peoples minds from a recency standpoint.

Dude is a rock on the amount of floor time he plays. I was actually pleasantly surprised that we didn't fall apart at the 8+ minute mark of the 1st half of the Oklahoma game when he picked up his 3rd foul. It wasn't always pretty, but Jake and Bubu stepped up.

Did I say that DG was the worst player on the team? No... I am just not getting the complete obsession with DG this year. His is scoring better this year.... big whoop. I am not saying that the guy can't score. I am saying that he is simply not a good point guard. He does not get the rest of the team in a position to score. He has the worst timing of anyone I know. We we need a score he forces it. When we are leading late in the game he forces shots. He NEVER makes the extra pass needed to get someone open and it costs us games, plain and simple.

Doesn't help that his top two scoring targets hurt their shooting elbows or got the flu.

  1. A professional is a person that is paid for what they do. Qualifications have little to do with being a professional as the world's "oldest profession" is strictly a monetary gain career. An amateur maybe more qualified than a professional but they are not paid, thus they are an amateur.
Also, DG couldnt have this kind of season because of the offense we ran with Greg as head coach..... He was a team player last year....

DG will forever be one of the most under appreciated Cyclones. People for some reason love to hate him and have no justification. If people want to hate JVB thats one thing, but DG gives it is all out there.

He's leading the conference in assists per game. Is every point guard in this conference bad?

He get's people in position to score better than anyone in the conference. Are all the guards in the conference terrible?

DG getting his props, great to hear. Don't worry about the haters. All the good players have them.

Who would you rather have shooting the ball? The only times I feel confident are when Garrett has the ball in his hands and if Scott or JVB have an open three.
