WWE Payback (2016) Thread

Really starting to like Cesaro on the mic. He must have worked on it while he was on the shelf.

Really coming around on him. I love Miz making a foreign insult at Cesearo when he has a foreign wife.

Overall outside of Gallows Anderson match your standard weak Raw going into PPV. Second straight Promo with Enzo and Cass that hasn't been up to their standard.

Been out of touch lately.

Shane's been in charge the last month.

When does he lose charge, or when is it decided he is out of charge?

I want him in charge, but takes away credibility/seriousness of his match with Taker when Shane-O-Mac is still running the show and Taker hasn't been seen since.

Vince "decides" at Payback this Sunday Shane or Steph

Miz has always been one of the more under appreciated heels in WWE, but man, bringing Maryse back has breathed new life into him. I don't want to see much of her wrestling, but seriously, keep her in Miz's corner.

Enzo and Cass are starting to feel the effects of Creative writing/messing with their promos. Would not surprise me whatsoever if they told Cass to tone it down on the SAWFT chant, which totally makes it lose its effectiveness. That being said, imagine if it was someone other than Enzo and Cass working those promos. It would be far more terrible.

I think they're building up to the Bullet Club turning against AJ. They probably try to interfere this Sunday to help him, but he tells them to get lost, he loses, and they work him over.

Really enjoyed their tag match. I think they'll be the center of some big storylines for awhile now.

How random was that lol? We've gone from Shane losing so he doesn't get control, some random lock box, to Shane being in control, to Stephanie telling him this Raw is his last Raw in control, to a random screen shot with a Michael Cole announcement that Vince will decide at Payback who is in control. Just stop WWE. Just stop.

Cesaro is definitely better than earlier. I used to fast forward through his segments, now I enjoy them.

I too think the Miz has always played a great heel. I miss him and Sandow together though. That was gold.

I feel like WWE mailed in the tag team #1 contender promo and rushed it. Enzo and Cass barely had enough time to get out their catch phrases....I need more from them and hopefully WWE lets them go off in a longer promo soon.

Thought we'd get a bit more of out the storyline or from the McMahons with it being held in Connecticut. I agree with Gunner - they took a once good storyline and chopped it up and made it confusing.

For those interested in the Global Crusierweight Series, the qualifying matches have begun in the UK with Progress Wrestling (It's like a british PWG)

and two wrestlers that have qualified for it are Jack Gallahger and The Zack Sabre Jr.
Links to their matches since the forum won't let me post them both directly

There's supposedly going to be qualifying matches in Mexico, Japan as well. And another UK qualifying one in Revolution: Pro.
There will be a couple qualifying matches in the US as well with Evolve Wrestling/WWN.

This will shock no one as the rumors of a split have been around for awhile
From cagesideseats.com
  • It looks likely Vince McMahon will choose both Shane McMahon and Stephanie to run WWE and we'll get some sort of in-house competition as the progression of the storyline they're doing, possibly one running Raw and one running SmackDown.

Of course. This could be great news though. We will have to wait and see.

Huh - they're letting the "mixed reaction" for Roman Reigns stand. Either that or they just can't drown out that many boos.

Let's see if they edit out Ric Flair telling Nattie to go "kill herself" on Ambrose Asylum. You know - 6 months after the Flair family got all hot and bothered when Vince told Paige to use a David Flair blast.

And they cut it.

Apparently, if I heard right, Dean's potted plant is named "Miz".

And Nattie should wear those boots like forever.
