Has he given any indication on when he was wanting to commit?

Understood your prefacing of the statement, but if he did want to commit, couldn't he just verbally announce it?

A lot of assumptions here, but in the past, kids from eastern iowa that don't commit to UNI/iowa tend to hold back their announcements because of potential backlash.

Foster would be the perfect big man in the middle of our four-out, one-in style.

A developed junior or senior Conditt and Foster together would still allow that given their mutual inside-outside games... and that length on defense would be nightmarish.

I have a little inside information on this. I have heard and don't quote me on this because I have no knowledge on the subject that he loves ISU and is dying to commit.

I hope so. But it seems odd he won’t just announce it.

I’ll believe we get an Iowa kid when we actually do.

Anyone hearing any inside information?
I do not have any inside info but there is a lot of "outside" info, you could call it. Twitter and the ISU media show he is in Ames all the time. He was at a women's basketball game a little while ago and he was just at the men's Kansas game. He stormed the field with Conditt when ISU football beat WV. He's also apparently dating an ISU cheerleader. Xavier's dad watched the ISU/WV football game on TV together in Ames (at Prohm's house?).

Since he is a 2020 recruit I guess I was never anticipating him verbally committing to a school until next fall.

Holding off til next summer is the prudent thing to do, after all thing can change 2 years out (rosters, coaches even relationships change) and there can be fan backlash from Eastern Iowa if he comes to ISU. There is no reason to rush a decision and especially with the NCAA allowing additional visits. He should take his time and be 100% sure on his decision, and enjoy his visits.

I have read that XF is fond of ISU and his family likes the staff as evidenced by his multiple visits the past 6 months but Xavier would like to get Duke to offer (presumably his dream school could be a game changer). Even to that point Coach K could retire in 2 years too which would change things.

Sorry but that ISU cheerleader has to keep dating him regardless of how the relationship is going; love is love but recruiting is recruiting :) Loyal. Forever. True.

It sounds like Iowa isn't a major player for him anymore based off what I read on another board

I look forward to hearing Hawk brains say they elected to move on from Foster because they were really happy with a different prospect (who will turn out to be a 6'10" gangly dork)

That's already begun. See posts 13 and 35 below. Thankfully I haven't lost all faith in my fellow Iowans as there are several posters that pretty much call them dumbasses. But yes, they are already laying the groundwork for "we passed" and "none committable offer". ....on top 50 prospect lmao.
