I heard Yanny, clear as day, first. About 20 minutes later I listened again...Yanny. Then I listened to it while looking at the word "Laurel" and holy crap, that's all I hear now. So odd.

The first time I watched the video (with the two guys debating -- which was a recording of a recording) I heard "Yanny" clearly. Then I listed to the original and it was clearly "Laurel"Bizarre my mind can switch like that.

Depends on what I listen too it on. This morning on TV, it was clear as day Yanny. When I listen to the link above on my computer it's clearly Laurel. I'm guessing it has to do with your system, equalizer/processor, speakers, etc on what frequencies are being output. Then of course hearing is different for everyone.

I listened to this probably 5-6 times throughout yesterday and I heard Laurel all but once.

I've tried and tried to hear anything resembling Yanny but its Laurel plain as day for me. My wife is the exact opposite.

I saw a long thread on social media and it seems more women hear Yanny (or Yammy) and more men hear Laurel. All of you who can hear both are freaks of nature.
