I think the Stanford fake athletes one is probably abit bigger. But as an NC State alum I am contractually obligated to agree with you
The Stanford case wouldn't count because it was a college admissions scandal, not an NCAA scandal.

and his kids??????He has an agent? Or are you talking about his wife????
Stop it.Sportswriters are starting the annual Matt Campbell to more prestigious programs. Now it is replacing Mack Brown at North Carolina. How many times can be wrong and still get paid?
John Heisman (of Heisman Trophy fame) coached football, basketball, and baseball at Georgia Tech. There's a precedent. If Campbell leaves, just let TJ coach football, too
That's a low bar, but so far they've not made it over - as far as CMC is concerned. In fairness to the media, they only have to be right once.
No kidding. Obviously, it would never happen, but I seriously think he could be successful coaching ISU football. If Campbell leaves, just let TJ coach football, too
I am not sure I agree with that. I think he was Urbans first call for OC when he took the OSU job. He is well known in the the state of Ohio. If he makes the playoffs at ISU, then all our(OSU fans) modest fans will think he can win the natty every year with OSU talent.....lol.They'd have to look him up first.
And THEN they'd riot.
The UNC scandal still stands as the largest case of academic fraud in the history of collegiate athletics, and that is not hyperbole.
Hundreds of UNC athletes in various sports were given academic credit for fictitious courses over a 10 year period in order to maintain their athletic eligibility.
However, because there were a small number of non-athletes who were also given academic credit for the non-existent courses, the NCAA decided in its infinite wisdom that UNC would not receive heavy sanctions because this impermissible benefit was not given to athletes exclusively.
And you wonder why people lost their faith in the NCAA.
The world of college football in 2024 isn't even comparable to the world of college football in the 1970s! Earle Bruce was on OSU's campus for 5 or so years as an assistant so he wasn't some random guy they followed way over in Ames, Iowa. And yes...I was alive in that decade...I think Coach Campbell would be great for either school if he wanted to go there but their fan bases would demand that their AD get fired if he/she hired Matt Campbell. Both schools would look for a coach has had elite levels of success, has a direct connection to that school OR look for an NFL connection. Matt Campbell is awesome but OSU nor ND is looking for that type of coach. They just aren't...Earle Bruce? Earle didn't even win the Big 8, never won more than 8 games at ISU! MC has accomplished more than Earle did at ISU. Earle was hired from ISU to coach at Ohio State.
Hate to say it... but i am.worried about usc. He almost took ot last time, and I'm guessing they cut ties soon.Sportswriters are starting the annual Matt Campbell to more prestigious programs. Now it is replacing Mack Brown at North Carolina. How many times can be wrong and still get paid?
