The real killer on this is a friend of mine who is about six months younger than me and her husband is same age as mine.

They get all this crap in the mail and they have a ten year old daughter! She found out she was pregnant when she was 51 and he was 54, their oldest son was 30, and they already had three grandkids. And it took her until four months in to know, she thought it was menopause.

So the husband is hoping to work as long as he can for insurance for the daughter at least until she is 18, but that puts him at 72! He apparently has better insurance than the wife, especially dental. He’s worried about braces, not Medicare supplementals.

At least we live in a small enough town that no one mistakes them for her grandparents any more. But instead of Walker, Texas Ranger and Bonanza, they watch a lot of The Babysitter’s Club.

Umm..... I'll just say parts of this story are very, very familiar to me.

I really hope you aren’t working until you are 72.

The weird thing to me was thinking about how pregnancy and menopause have so many similar symptoms. She was asking me and another friend if we had started menopause and neither of us had. The other friend was the one who told her to get a pregnancy test.

I can’t imagine tween shows anymore, although when my oldest loved Legends of the Hidden Temple and Gargoyles, that wasn’t so bad.

The one thing that saved them was their next youngest was 16 when her sister was born. She actually got up in the middle of the night some when her mom was exhausted and helped a lot during the day to let her mom nap more.

My wife is younger or the numbers would be very close. The first number will be a 7 (if I make it) by the time they get out of college.

I should be able to retire before 70 (or retire at all?) but I wouldn't say it's a given.

Kids late in life aren't making me feel younger. Quite the opposite. I'm aging rapidly since they came on the scene. Especially since the second one arrived

I really think that second one is the roughest. They both still want and need parental attention so neither parent gets much of a break. Unless there is a large age gap, the older kid is more jealous than enthused. By the time we had a third boy, the first two had started to like playing together more and oldest was able to help more.

Also guessing you have less grandparent help as an older parent. Don’t be shy about pawning those kids off on relatives!

Our youngest is 15. So it’s even freakier. You have created good birth control here carvers. Although our son would not do that, maybe a little but not much.

26 here. My profile says I started in December 2008 which means I was on here at the ripe age of 12. If I remember correctly, pretty sure my dad wanted updates on the post-Chizik coaching search and I knew technology way better than him.

It really makes sense why women had children in their teens back when. Up all night already, might as well make use of it while they still have lots of energy.

So this new poll compared to the 2015 poll seems to confirm the suggestion that CF is indeed aging. It looks like the data set has shifted almost 10 years in between the polls.
